Abstract:
In a copying machine in which a plurality of copies are made on a plurality of sheets of copy paper transferred from one or more paper cassettes, there are provided means for detecting the amount of the copy paper present in paper storing means, designating means for designating the number of paper to be copied, means for judging whether the amount of the copy paper present in said paper storing means exceeds the number of the copy paper designated by said designating means in a period after said paper storing means is set in the copying machine and before beginning of transferring of the copy paper to paper process means and means for alarming that the sheet number of the copy paper is more than the amount of the paper present in said paper storing means.
Abstract:
A copying machine which can stop or interrupt a copying operation of reserved originals even when it is still in the middle of a copying operation so as to permit the copying of un-reserved originals. The interruption takes place when a human body sensor detects a person coming up to the copying machine, or when a timer counts up a predetermined time. Also, the copying machine has a first counter which counts a first predetermined time after the end of the copying operation. If no copying operation is performed during the first predetermined time, a second counter starts to count a second predetermined time immediately after the first predetermined time. During the counting of the second predetermined time, a copy start button is made invalid. When the second predetermined time is counted, the reserved copying operation starts.
Abstract:
An automatic duplex copying type copying apparatus for automatically copying opposite copying faces of an original document onto opposite faces of a copy paper sheet, respectively, including first and second trays for sequentially accommodating first and second copy paper sheets, respectively, an original feeding device for feeding first and second original documents from an original feeding tray to an original platform, a transport device for transporting the first and second copy paper sheets to the first and second trays, respectively, an original returning device for returning the first and second original documents to the original feeding tray and a paper feeding device for feeding the first and second copy paper sheets from the first and second trays, respectively.
Abstract:
An automatic document feeder for an electrophotographic copying machine comprises a plurality of document trays each for piling a plurality of documents thereon, a plurality of document exhaust trays each for receiving the documents, document exhaust rollers rotating to transport the documents into one of the plurality of document exhaust trays, and a switching gate for selecting the way of transporting the documents into anyone of the plurality of document exhaust trays. A document transport belt is provided for transporting the documents. The document exhaust rollers and the document transport belt can be driven in bidirectional directions.
Abstract:
An automatic document feeder, made a part of a two-side copying machine which selectably operates in one-side or two-side copying mode of operation, has a pre-feeder which advances a document to be copied next from its original position to a waiting position before reaching a copying position on a document table. A selecting device is further included for controlling the pre-feeder such that the pre-feeder does not function when the second surface of a document is being copied in two-side copying mode of operation.
Abstract:
A copying machine for copying an original in the form of a double-spread page placed on an original stand or carriage such that the original is accurately divided when copied onto two sheets of paper. The copying machine includes a control device for controlling a copy start position of an original copy operation by a time difference determined between a reference position timing of an original scanning and a sheet feed start timing, and is operable regardless of a selected magnification.
Abstract:
An automatic duplex electrophotographic copying machine having a single side copying-related transport passage communicating from a paper supply section through a copying process section to a discharge outlet, a duplex copying-related transport passage located under the single side copying-related transport passage and communicating from the vicinity of the discharge outlet to the vicinity of the paper supply section, an intermediate tray provided in the approximate center of the duplex copying-related transport passage, and a plurality of bins mounted at the discharge outlet to store discharged copy papers, comprises a detector provided at the paper supplying side of the intermediate tray of the duplex copying-related transport passage to detect the picture image density on a copy paper; and a storage bin selection unit for delivering a defective copy paper to a particular bin among the plurality of bins when the detector does not detect any picture image on the copy paper while the copy paper is passing the position of the detector.
Abstract:
A main controller controls drive of an LSU for irradiating laser light onto a charged photoreceptor, based on control data read from a non-volatile memory. The main controller causes the LSU to irradiate a beam of light onto the photoreceptor so as to form on the photoreceptor an electrostatic latent image corresponding to an image to be formed. A controlling section reads through an image reading section control data from the non-volatile memory at a different timing from a timing at which the main controller controls the LSU. The controlling section controls drive of the LSU based on the read control data.
Abstract:
The present invention allows a specific image to be easily changed when using a counter in the case of adding a specific image. A specific image adding section 12 for adding the specific image to inputted image data includes a first counter 15 for deciding positions of a main scanning direction and a vertical scanning direction and a second counter 16 for specifying a form of the specific image. The second counter 16 counts up addresses of pixels counterclockwise with a starting point at one corner on a matrix made up of the main scanning direction and vertical scanning direction. If the first counter 15 counts a predetermined count value, the second counter 16 starts. When a maximum value of the count value of the second counter 16 is equal to or less than a count set value, an image is formed on each of the pixels. The pixel on which the image is formed is changed and the form of the specific image is also changed by changing the count set value.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a disposable absorbent article. The disposable absorbent article comprises a liquid previous topsheet; a liquid impervious backsheet combined with the topsheet; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a barrier cuff having a proximal edge and a distal edge, the proximal edge being joined to the topsheet and the distal edge being away from the top surface of the topsheet. The barrier cuff comprises a single layer web having a water resistance value of at least 150 mm H2O, and an average bending force value of less than about 25 mg cm2/cm.
