摘要： An image recognition apparatus includes an objective image data acquisition unit to acquire objective image data containing a face image portion, a feature area detection unit to detect an eye area corresponding to left and right eyes contained in the objective image data, an inclination estimation unit to estimate inclination of the face image portion in a depth direction thereof based on the relative position of the detected eye area, an area-to-be-extracted determination unit to determine a shape of an area to be extracted in response to the inclination estimated by the inclination estimation unit, and an area-to-be-extracted extraction unit to extract the area to be extracted of the shape determined from the objective image data. Preferably, the area to be extracted is subjected to predetermined processing.

摘要： The recognition apparatus shoots pictures of at least a portion of a subject including a human face and obtains a sequence of image data. The facial portion is recognized from the image data. Each image data in the sequence of image data is processed successively. From the image data, an image region including the facial portion is identified. Either a color of the subject within a region defined based on the identified image region or the result of detection of moving regions is used for processing for identifying the image region including the facial portion.

摘要： An information output system includes a user terminal that issues a print job containing print data, a management server that receives and stores the print job, and an information output unit that acquires print data from the management server and executes printout. The user terminal transmits a print job specifying a print reception user of a print data recipient. The management server includes a print job processing section that stores and manages the print job in association with a user identifier of the print reception user, and a user authentication section that receives the user image information and executes user authentication based on comparison processing between the received user image information and registered user image information stored in a user information database. Provided that the user is authenticated, the print job processing section acquires print job data with the authenticated user set as the print reception user and transmits the print job data.

摘要： An action recognition apparatus acquires image data and outputs action information representing an action content of a human captured in the image data. The action recognition apparatus includes a face-portion specifying section, an acquisition section, a specifying section, and an information output section. The face-portion specifying section specifies a first image region including a face portion of the human from the image data. The acquisition section acquires skin-color information peculiar to the human from pixel values of the first image region. The specifying section specifies at least one second image region including a predetermined portion of a body of the human from the image data except for the first image region based on the skin-color information. The information output section outputs the action information representing the action content of the human based on position relation between the specified first image region and the specified second image region.
