摘要： A skate support and bracket system includes an elongated main body structure in the form of a tubular aluminum extrusion. A bracket attachment track is formed on the extrusion. A pair of boot brackets are slidably mounted on the track for continuous and infinitesimal movement therealong. The brackets carry boot mounting platforms at the upper ends thereof and the platforms are cantilevered outwardly from the upper end of the pedestal both rearwardly and laterally so as to present a generally unimpeded area under the platform to facilitate manipulation of an attachment component.

摘要： A portable worktable includes a work platform and an automatic stabilizing mechanism for stably supporting the platform on an uneven floor. First and second horizontally spaced, generally parallel panels are arranged so as to extend downwardly from the work platform. The stabilizing mechanism includes a pair of support feet fixed to a lower portion of one of the panels. The stabilizing mechanism also includes a beam member which is swingably mounted at a lower portion of the other panel for swinging relative to the platform about a generally horizontal axis. Another pair of support feet are mounted on the beam member at respective opposite ends thereof so that the swinging axis of the beam is disposed centrally of the support feet on the beam. The device also includes a locking mechanism for releasably holding the beam member in a chosen fixed position relative to the platform.

摘要： A skating boot has an elongated sole portion. Mounting platforms are embedded in fixed positions in the sole portion. The mounting platforms comprise nylon body members. Each body member is provided with a plurality of transversely spaced bolt holes for receiving nut and bolt arrangements for attaching the boot to an ice skate blade or roller skate frame bracket. Each bolt hole includes an enlarged cavity portion for holding a nut or bolt head captive to prevent turning of the latter during assembly. Thus, maximum assembly and/or adjustment flexibility is provided.

摘要： A two-piece axle bolt for mounting an in-line skate wheel between the spaced side walls of an in-line U-shaped skate frame. The side walls of the U-shaped skate frame have respective outer faces and respective axle receiving and mounting holes extending therethrough. A bolt head receiving counterbore is formed in the outer face of each of the side walls around the hole. The axle bolt includes a pair of shaft components, each having an elongated central axle shaft portion and an enlarged head disposed at one end of the shaft portion. One of the shaft components has a male threaded segment at the other end of the shaft portion and the other shaft component has a female threaded segment at the other end of the shaft portion. The male and female segment are threadably engaged so that the central shaft portions are in axial alignment to thereby present the two-piece axle bolt. The heads are received within the counterbores so that the outer end surfaces of the head do not project outwardly substantially beyond the outer faces of the side walls.

摘要： A tool kit includes an assemblage of components for aligning and installing a ball bearing set in a skate wheel. Ball bearing sets conventionally have outer and inner annular bearing races and a central axle hole. The assemblage includes a base having a lower surface and a cylindrical wall defining an upwardly opening cavity in the base. A generally planar, upwardly facing annular shoulder at the top of the wall surrounds the cavity. The assemblage also includes a guide shaft tool mounted in the cavity. The tool includes an elongated guide shaft extending upwardly from the base. The longitudinal axis of the shaft is extends concentrically relative to the shoulder of the base and generally perpendicularly relative to the plane of the shoulder of the base. A collar on the shaft presents another upwardly facing shoulder surrounding the shaft. The shoulders are coplanar, and the shaft and the shoulders are arranged such that when the guide shaft extends through the central axle hole of a set of bearings, the outer and inner bearing races are supported separately by respective annular shoulders to thereby avoid damaging the bearing set during insertion of the same into the bearing hole of a skate wheel. The kit also may include an elongated cylindrical bearing set carrying casing which is mountable on the base to provide a single package to be carried by the user.
