The boot comprises a toe box and a heel portion, wherein the toe box is fixedly attached to the holder frame and wherein the heel portion engages the holder frame such that the heel portion is capable of moving relative to the toe box for adjusting the size of the boot. The skate also comprises a locking mechanism that is operable to selectively position and retain the heel portion in more than one position with respect to the toe box by engagement with the holder frame, wherein the locking mechanism is activatable through a push button.

    摘要： A skate comprises a chassis with a variable length boot disposed thereon. The variable length boot includes a toe portion fixedly disposed upon the chassis and a heel portion slidably disposed upon the chassis. The heel portion is slidable in relation to the toe portion along the longitudinal axis of the skate to increase or decrease the size of the boot. A locking mechanism attached to the heel portion locks the heel portion to the chassis at a selected position. The selected position is chosen from a plurality of spaced-apart slots disposed within the chassis. The locking mechanism includes a positionable clasp insertable into a selected slot to lock the heel portion to the chassis at the selected position.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a size-adjusting fastening mechanism for stakes comprising fixed locking grooves and a movable locking convex block, whereby when one of the grooves engages with the convex block, tooth position is loosened and toecap is telescopic upon pulling. When the groove and the convex block are rotated to deflect so as not to engage with each other, tooth position is pressed to lock so as to be irremovable. Such a structure requires that the pull handle be pulled horizontally forwards and backwards. Being secured with rivet punching, the claimed device possesses good stability, is simple in structure, low in cost and easy for operation.

The blade holder frame includes a recessed surface disposed on a forward section of the blade holder frame longitudinally along a longitudinal axis of the skate. The boot includes a heel portion disposed on the blade holder frame and a toe box portion slidable on the blade holder frame. The toe box portion includes a first slot disposed longitudinally along the longitudinal axis of the skate, a perimeter wall extending downward from the first slot, and downwardly extending channel walls. The perimeter wall seats within the recessed forward surface of the blade holder frame to securably guide the toe box rearwardly or forwardly. The locking mechanism includes first and second detents disposed on the downwardly extending channel walls engaging a plurality of indentations disposed on the forward section of the blade holder frame.

    摘要： A size adjustable athletic boot of a molded plastic or composite construction which is adjustable in length, width and height allowing three dimensional fit (3-D fit) for a variety of foot sizes. The boot has a base section and a tongue section which extends from a toe end of the base section. The tongue and base sections combine to define a variable volume foot space between them. A heel section telescopes over a rear end of the base section. The heel section has a heel surface which in combination with an upper surface of the base section defines a foot support surface. A cuff extends upward from a heel wall of the heel section. The cuff and a free end of the tongue section confront one another and define a foot entry opening between them. An adjustment mechanism is adapted to selectively position the heel section on the rear end of the base section to vary the length of the foot support surface relative to the length of a user's foot. An adjustable securing mechanism is adapted to adjust the foot entry opening and the foot space to conform to the user's foot and to releasably secure the user's foot within the 3-D fit boot.
