摘要: A communication device and methods for operating the same. One communication device includes a memory storing a software application, an electronic processor, a mechanical interface receiving a first user input, and a touch screen receiving a second user input. The touch screen is also configured to display an output generated by the software application. The electronic processor is configured to execute a software application stored in the memory, determine when the second user input is received simultaneously with the first user input, perform a first action based on the first user input when the second user input is not received simultaneously with the first user input, the first action being unrelated to operation of the software application, and perform a second action based on the first user input when the second user input is received simultaneously with the first user input, the second action relating to the operation of the software application.

摘要: Portable electronic device (105) and method (400) of controlling a secondary feature. In one example, the portable electronic device (105) includes a transceiver (230), a touch-screen display (225) displaying a push-to-talk button (305), and an electronic processor (205). The electronic processor (205) is configured to start transmitting a push-to-talk communication when the push-to-talk button (305) is selected. The electronic processor (205) is also configured to display a secondary feature button (320) on the touch-screen display (225) while the push-to-talk button (305) remains selected. The electronic processor (205) is further configured to detect a swipe motion (325) on the touch-screen display (225) from the push-to-talk button 305 to the secondary feature button (320). The electronic processor (205) is also configured to initiate a secondary feature, in response to the swipe motion (325) being detected, while continuing to transmit the push-to-talk communication.

摘要: A method and apparatus for coordinating linkable wireless devices operable in a personal area network (PAN) and a vehicle area network (VAN). The method includes the operations of detecting, by a vehicle host device of a VAN, a PAN within a range of the VAN, pairing one or more linkable wireless devices of the PAN to the vehicle host device, creating a PAN identification code and adding the PAN identification code to a list of PANs having linkable wireless devices paired with the VAN, determining a working channel of the PAN and adding the working channel to a scan list in the vehicle host device, and providing a communication link between the linkable wireless devices and a remote device via the vehicle host device. The linkable wireless devices of the PAN are associated with the PAN identification code and the working channel.

摘要: An electronic communication device and method for crowd-based application synchronization. The device includes a display, a memory storing a first application, a transceiver, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to associate the electronic communication device with a first talk group, determine a first function in which the first application is configured to perform, and receive, via the transceiver, information regarding a number of members of the first talk group that are using an instance of a second application to perform the first function. The electronic processor is further configured to automatically present, based on the information, on the display, a running instance of the second application or a selection mechanism for the second application.

摘要: A system and method for cloning data using a wearable electronic device. The wearable electronic device includes a transceiver, a sensor, and an electronic processor electrically coupled to the transceiver and the sensor. The electronic processor is configured to establish, via the transceiver, a communications link with an electronic communications device. The electronic transceiver is further configured to transmit, via the transceiver to the electronic communications device, a device authentication key. The electronic processor is further configured to receive, from the sensor, at least one gesture signal. The electronic processor is further configure to, when the at least one gesture signal is received within a pre-determined period, determine at least one gesture from the at least one gesture signal. The electronic processor is further configured to determine a data cloning function based on the at least one gesture.
