Abstract: A method for producing a polycarbonate copolymer which has siloxane constituent units represented by any of formulae (1-1) to (1-4) and prescribed polycarbonate constituent units, the method having a polymerization step for polymerizing a silane-based compound selected from among a prescribed diaryloxysilane compound, a prescribed dialkoxysilane compound and a prescribed silicon compound, a carbonate compound and a diol compound such as an aromatic diol compound or an alicyclic diol compound in the presence of a transesterification catalyst. The polymerization step is carried out in a molten state under reduced pressure while removing alcohols derived from the carbonate compound.

Abstract: Provided are a resin composition which can provide a resin sheet having excellent light shielding properties with titanium oxide sufficiently dispersed, as well as a resin sheet, a multilayered article and a card produced therefrom. The resin composition includes a polycarbonate resin in an amount of 30 to 95 parts by mass, and titanium oxide in an amount of 5 to 40 parts by mass, wherein the titanium oxide has an average primary particle size of 0.22 to 0.26 µm based on measurement of an image observed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and wherein the titanium oxide has an Si content of 1.0 to 1.8 % by mass and an Al content of 1.6 to 2.2 % by mass based on measurement by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis after firing at 700° C. for 2 hours.

Abstract: Provided is a resin composition that is excellent in formability, and is also excellent in heat resistance and transparency when made into a formed article, as well as a formed article.
