    Abstract: With respect to a video display apparatus, a technology capable of improving the operability and usability for a user in relation to a generated image such as AR (Augmented Reality) is provided. An HMD as a video display apparatus displays an AR image on a display screen, configures an ID image including identification information (ID) for supporting an operation of a user to the AR image, detects a sight line direction of the user to set a sight line region, and displays the ID image so as to be associated with the AR image when the AR image falls within a range of the sight line region. The HMD receives an operation to select the ID image from the user, selects the AR image associated with the ID image when receiving the operation to select the ID image, and executes a predetermined process associated with the AR image.

    Abstract: A video transmissive head-mounted display device capable of avoiding danger to a user when worn by the user has an external world image acquired by a first image inputting unit, and the external world image is displayed on a display unit. The head-mounted display device has a second image inputting unit that acquires a binocular image of a wearer. The head-mounted display device is configured so that a control unit determines, from the binocular image of the wearer acquired by the second image inputting unit, that the wearer is awake when both eyes are closed for no longer than a predetermined period of time and that the wearer is asleep when both eyes are closed for a predetermined period of time or longer, and the display unit displays the external world image acquired by the first image inputting unit when the wearer wakes from sleep.

    Abstract: An imaging device comprises: an image sensor to convert an optical image captured in light receiving elements arranged in an array on an imaging surface into sensor signals and output the sensor signals; a modulator provided on a light receiving surface of the image sensor and to modulate light by using a first grating pattern; an exposure control unit to determine an exposure condition based on the sensor signals, change a set exposure condition to the determined exposure condition, and control exposure in accordance with the changed exposure condition; and an image processing unit to generate a second grating pattern corresponding to the first grating pattern, generate a moiré fringe image based on the second grating pattern and the sensor signals, and generate a photographed image based on the moiré fringe image. The exposure condition includes an exposure time of the image sensor and a transmittance of the modulator.
