    摘要: The telecommunication network is composed to a greater degree of ATM exchanges (ATM) and to a lesser degree of STM exchanges (STM). Information coming from an STM exchange (for example, STM1) and to be communicated to a further STM exchange (for example, STMy) via an ATM exchange (for example, ATM1) is packeted in message cells of the same length as those message cells used for the transmission between ATM exchanges in order to reduce the packeting time for the through-connection across the ATM exchange (ATM1). However, respective message parts of a plurality of STM time channels (K1 through K4) that are to be through-connected to the same ATM exchange output are multiplexed in a message cell.

For reducing the packeting time for the through-connection across the ATM exchange, information coming from an STM exchange and to be switched via an ATM exchange to a further STM exchange is packeted either into message cells that are shorter in comparison to standardized message cells used for the transmission between ATM exchanges or into message cells of the same length wherein, however, respective message parts of a plurality of STM channels that are to be through-connected to the same ATM output are multiplexed in a message cell. Given local exchanges (ATM-V) having decentralized line units (SLUR) for the connection of subscriber lines, the message cells of a plurality of STM channels are packeted multiplexed thereat without taking the exchange destination into consideration. A conversion into one of the aforementioned message cells that deviate from the standard cells then occurs in the exchange.

    摘要: A switching configuration for PCM TDM telecommunication exchange insallations, having a central switching network and individual sub-switching networks is provided.Line groups having duplicated central switching networks connected over two time division multiplex lines and having a sub-switching network and a group control system each are assigned to each other in pairs. The line systems assigned individually to the one and the other of two line groups and which are connected via internal lines in normal operation to the sub-switching networks of their own line group, can be switched over to the sub-switching network of the other line group. No connections are interrupted which were already through-connected before changeover switching or were in the process of being set up, and the internal lines running form the line system of one line group can be switched over singly, i.e. individually to the connection, from its sub-switching network to that of the partner line group. Unseized internal lines are switched over, or also connections in the call phase are through-connected. For new connections, only already switched-over internal lines are available.

The method is characterised in that resources for the recorded announcement and interactive voice response function are provided by an external device, that the peripheral equipment is provided with virtual recorded announcement and interactive voice response ports, that an interface exists between the peripheral equipment and the external device and that the external resources can be used in relation to a specific port by the switching system.

    摘要: The provision of subscriber service features is one of the tasks of exchanges in classic TDM networks. This includes e.g., announcements and interactive responses. According to the prior art, these announcements and interactive responses are either provided by peripheral devices of the exchange which are equipped with the appropriate function or by external announcement and interactive response systems. The latter are provided either in TDM networks with proprietary interfaces or in packet networks with standardized interfaces. The invention solves the problem of providing the service for classic TDM networks by providing that the known packet-based method for controlling an external system for providing announcements and interactive responses is transferred to an exchange located in the classical TDM network. In particular, this enables the protocol used to control the external announcement and interactive response system, which was originally standardized as a signalling protocol for controlling a media gateway, to be used.

    摘要: Telephone calls are handled via the Internet between an interworking unit relating to the calling subscriber and an interworking unit relating to the called subscriber. At least the telecommunications network to which the calling subscriber belongs as well as the interworking units are operated by the same provider. Access by a calling subscriber to the interworking unit and the passing on of the dialed telephone number of the called subscriber to the interworking unit are made dependent on the identification of the call as an Internet telephone call and dependent on the result of an access authorization check. Charging for use of the telephone network and of the Internet for such a call does not commence until the connection is made, as in the case of a call which uses only the telephone network.
