摘要: A method of producing a positive electrode material for a secondary battery includes preparing a lithium composite transition metal oxide containing nickel, cobalt, and manganese, forming a coating layer on a surface of the lithium composite transition metal oxide, and post-treating the lithium composite transition metal oxide having the coating layer formed thereon, wherein the post-treating is performed by exposing the lithium composite transition metal oxide having the coating layer formed thereon to moisture at a relative humidity of 10% to 50% at 25° C., and then heat treating the lithium composite transition metal oxide to remove residual moisture.

摘要: A positive electrode for a secondary battery in which a positive electrode mixture including a positive electrode active material is formed on at least one surface of a current collector is provided. The positive electrode includes a lithium by-product so as to satisfy the following Equation 1 based on the total weight of the positive electrode mixture. 4000 A - 2000 ≤ B ( ppm ) [ Equation 1 ] wherein in the Equation 1, A is the molar content of Ni when the total mole of transition metal contained in the positive electrode active material is 1, and B is the content of lithium by-product, when A is 0.5 or less, the minimum value of B is 6000 ppm. The positive electrode also has a harness at which cracks occur in a measuring rod of 2 pi (Ø) or more.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery and a positive electrode active material prepared thereby, wherein the preparation method includes a first step of preparing a lithium transition metal oxide by mixing a lithium raw material and a transition metal precursor containing 70 mol % or more of nickel based on the total number of moles of transition metals and sintering the mixture; and a second step of washing the lithium transition metal oxide with hot water of more than 90° C., wherein, after the second step, a result of EELS analysis of a particle surface of the lithium transition metal oxide satisfies Equation 1.

摘要: A method of preparing a positive electrode active material is disclosed herein. The method may ensure surface and coating uniformity of first and second lithium transition metal oxides in the positive electrode active material. In some embodiments, the method includes washing a mixture of a first lithium transition metal oxide having a first Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area and a second lithium transition metal oxide having a second BET specific surface area with a washing solution, an amount of the washing solution based on 100 parts by weight of the mixture satisfies Equation 1: 5,000×(x1w1+x2w2)≤the amount of the washing solution ≤15,000×(x1w1+x2w2), x1 and x2 are the first and second BET specific surface areas, respectively, and w1 and w2 are weight ratios of the first and second lithium transition metal oxides based on a total weight of the mixture, respectively.
