Abstract: A plurality of autonomous mobile robots are disclosed. The mobile robots may include a mobile robot that has a traveling unit that moves or rotates a main body of the mobile robot. The mobile robot has a sensor that detects another mobile robot in a detection area spanning a predetermined angle with respect to the front of the main body. The mobile robot also has a controller that rotates the detection area of the mobile robot when the other mobile robot detected within the detection area moves out of the detection area.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a moving robot, a control method thereof, and a moving robot system. A moving robot according to the present disclosure includes a main body, a traveling unit configured to move the main body, a communication unit configured to communicate with a terminal and a location information transmitter, and a control unit configured to set a travel area using location information based on a signal received from the location information transmitter. The control unit is configured to recognize a location of the terminal. When location information regarding a target point within the boundary, pointed by the terminal at the recognized location, is received, the control unit is configured to store the location information. Also, the control unit is configured to control a traveling unit to move in the travel area while avoiding a predetermined area comprising coordinates matching the stored location information.

Abstract: A moving robot according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a traveling unit to move a main body thereof, a communication unit to perform communication with a controller using signals, and a controller to calculate a signal distance between the controller and the main body in response to reception of a first signal from the controller, and controls the traveling unit so that the main body moves while following the controller when the calculated signal distance is within a predetermined range. The control unit calculates a signal distance between the controller and the main body in response to reception of a second signal from the controller while the main body is following the controller, and releases the follow-up travel of the main body when the calculated signal distance is within a predetermined range.

Abstract: A moving robot has a body and at least one wheel for moving the main body. The moving robot has a transceiver to communicate with a plurality of location information transmitters located within an area. The moving robot also has a memory storing coordinate information regarding positions of the location information transmitters. Further, the moving robot has a controller that sets a virtual boundary based on location information determined using signals transmitted by the location information transmitters. The controller controls the wheel so that the main body is prevented from traveling outside the virtual boundary. The controller sets a reference location information transmitter and corrects the stored coordinate information by correcting height errors based on height differences between the reference location information transmitter and the other location information transmitters. The controller also corrects a current position of the main body based on the corrected stored coordinate information.

Abstract: A mobile robot may include a controller configured to set a virtual boundary based on position information determined by a terminal or a position sensor in an area, and to set an area of any one side of the boundary as a traveling area. The controller may control a traveling unit so that a main body moves within the traveling area without moving outside the boundary. Accordingly, the controller may easily set the boundary using the position information, and may control traveling of the mobile robot by setting the traveling area formed by the boundary. The controller may correct a position error, may reflect information on obstacles in setting the traveling area to set a traveling area appropriate for a traveling environment of the mobile robot, and/or may easily change the set traveling area.
