Abstract: A method for regenerating a cell having an electrode assembly, in which electrodes and a separator are alternately combined with each other, an electrolyte, and a battery case accommodating the electrode assembly and the electrolyte according to the present invention includes performing a negative pressure processing process in which a negative pressure is applied to the cell to allow a gas disposed between the electrodes to move outside the electrode assembly and performing an ultrasonic wave processing process in which the cell is stimulated by ultrasonic waves to allow the electrolyte disposed outside the electrode assembly to move between the electrodes.

Abstract: A method for regenerating an end of life (EOL) cell which comprises an electrode assembly including a cathode, an anode, and a separator interposed between the cathode and the anode, wherein the EOL cell is left under a high temperature environment of 80° C. or higher for a predetermined time while pressure is applied thereto, whereby gas located within the electrode assembly is moved to the outer portion of the electrode assembly is provided. The method can regenerate an EOL cell in a simple and economical way without breaking or damaging the same, and furthermore can also be applied to a pack or module which is an extended unit of the cell. A pressuring jig is also provided.

Abstract: A method for regenerating a lithium secondary battery including a lithium resupply step in which a lithium resupply electrode is provided in the secondary battery, and the positive electrode is set as a counter electrode, and the lithium resupply electrode is set as a working electrode to charge lithium ions to the positive electrode through the lithium resupply electrode and a negative electrode discharging step in which, after the lithium ions are resupplied to the positive electrode through the lithium resupply step, the lithium resupply electrode is set as the counter electrode, and the negative electrode is set as the working electrode to completely discharge the negative electrode up to a discharge limit.

Abstract: Provided herein are a positive electrode for a secondary battery and a secondary battery including the same. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material layer including a positive electrode active material, a conductive material, and a dispersant, wherein the conductive material includes bundle-type carbon nanotubes, units of which have an average strand diameter of 15 nm or less, and the positive electrode active material layer has a packing density of 3.0 g/cc or more, and has an average pore diameter of 0.1 μm to 0.5 μm at the packing density when a pore size distribution is measured by mercury intrusion porosimetry, and thus may exhibit excellent electrolyte wetting properties. As a result, when the positive electrode is applied to a battery, wetting time of the positive electrode is shortened, and an area of the positive electrode that is not filled with an electrolyte is reduced, resulting in enhanced battery performance.
