摘要： An industrial pallet or stillage truck has a body portion, two hydraulic rams for raising a root portion of a load carrying portion, and a linkage having ground engaging members for raising and lowering the end of the load carrying portion remote from the root portion. The rams each have a standing part mounted on the body portion and a movable part connected to the load carrying portion. The linkage includes two levers each of which is pivotally connected at its fulcrum to the root portion of the load carrying portion and also pivotally connected to the standing part of one of the rams. At least one of the rams has its standing part adjustably mounted on the body portion whereby longitudinal movement of the standing part moves the respective lever and adjusts the position of the associated ground engaging member relative to the load carrying portion.

摘要： A differential gear mechanism comprises two spaced gear wheels in mesh with an intermediate gear wheel disposed between them, the intermediate gear wheel being arranged, so it rotates, to move laterally between the gear wheels so as to effect differential rotation of the gear wheels. The intermediate gear wheel is elliptical, the minor axis of the ellipse lying along a line joining the centers of the gear wheels when the intermediate gear wheel is symmetrically disposed between them. The eccentricity of the ellipse is such that as the intermediate gear wheel moves laterally the increase in the distance apart of the portions of the gear wheels with which it meshes is substantially compensated for by the increase in the effective diameter of the intermediate gear wheel between those portions, as a result of its rotation, so that the intermediate gear wheel remains in mesh with the gear wheels during its lateral movement.

摘要： A pedestrian operated industrial truck has a reversible driving motor controlled by control means which are operated, through a connecting linkage, by a manually operable control member, the control member and linkage having a forward, neutral, and reverse conditions. There is mounted on a control handle of the truck an element which is displaceable relatively to the truck by engagement with an obstruction during forward movement of the truck. The manually operable control member is coupled with the connecting linkage by a releasable connection, and displacement of the displaceable element is arranged to release the connection and effect movement of the linkage, independently of the manually operable control member, from the forward to the reverse condition. Subsequent return of the displaceable element to its original position, upon reversal of the truck away from the obstruction, allows the linkage to return to the neutral condition, so stopping the truck, and the releasable connection is then automatically re-engageable only when the manually operable control member is also returned to the neutral condition.
