An image forming system includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses and a group management server. The plurality of image forming apparatuses each include a document-box management unit. The document-box movement processing unit transmits a command to at least one of a first image forming apparatus assigned to a group before the movement and a second image forming apparatus assigned to a group after the movement, the command causing movement of a document box of the moved user from the first image forming apparatus to the second image forming apparatus. The document-box management unit in at least one of the first image forming apparatus and the second image forming apparatus accepts the command. The document-box management unit forwards the document box of the moved user from the first image forming apparatus to the second image forming apparatus.

An image forming apparatus includes: a sheet feed section including a plurality of sheet feed cassettes, a designation receiving section configured to receive a designation of a sheet feed cassette for exclusive use from among the plurality of sheet feed cassettes; an exclusive use control section configured to put the sheet feed cassette the designation of which has been received by the designation receiving section into an exclusive use state and, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, switch the sheet feed cassette from the exclusive use state to a non-exclusive use state; and a sheet discharge control section. When the predetermined condition is satisfied, the sheet discharge control section allows the discharge of particular paper sheets remaining in the sheet feed cassette in the exclusive use state before the sheet feed cassette is switched from the exclusive use state to a non-exclusive use state.

A display input device includes a reception processing portion, a change processing portion, and a display processing portion. The reception processing portion, based on correspondence information indicating a correspondence between a plurality of characters and a plurality of operation keys used for inputting a password of a preset number of characters, receives an operation of any one of the operation keys as an input operation of a character corresponding to the operation key. The change processing portion changes the correspondence relationship when the operation of the operation key is performed a preset specific number of times that is less than the number of characters of the password, or at a preset specific interval. The display processing portion displays the correspondence information at a predetermined position, different from a position of the operation keys, on an input screen used for inputting the password.

An image reading device includes an image scanning portion, a page classification portion, a preview output portion, a page classification correction portion, and a file replacement portion. The preview output portion generates a primary image data file including: a plurality of pieces of page image data; and page classification information that allows the non-blank page and the blank page to be separated from each other, and displays, on a display portion, an image of the non-blank page and an image of the blank page so as to be separated from each other. The page classification correction portion corrects the page classification information according to correction operation. The file replacement portion replaces the primary image data file with a secondary image data file that does not include the data of the blank page.

Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a printed matter from being inadvertently taken away by other users. The image forming apparatus mainly includes a first determination part, a second determination part, and a job control part. The first determination part determines whether there exists a second printing job to be executed subsequent to the first printing job. The second determination part determines whether the time measured by the timer part has passed a predetermined period if it is determined that there exists the second printing job. The job control part performs interval control for causing the printing part to execute the second printing job after the predetermined period has passed if it is determined that the predetermined period has not yet passed.

A control portion specifies an allowance time from a job reception time to a time at which a job sender reaches a self-apparatus, on the basis of allowance time specifying information acquired per print job data. Furthermore, the control portion controls a start time of a print process in accordance with an order in which an elapsed time from the job reception time is determined to have reached a planned start time. The planned start time is a time which is back-calculated from a time point when the allowance time elapses after the job reception, on the basis of a time required for the print process.
