There is provided a feeding network device for improved direction estimation. The feeding network device according to an embodiment of the disclosure includes a first coupler, a second coupler, a first delay, a second delay, a crossover, a third coupler, a fourth coupler, a third delay, and a fourth delay. Accordingly, one sum beam and a plurality of difference beams are emitted through the feeding network device of the array antenna, and improved direction estimation is possible through a plurality of monopulse ratios, and accordingly, improvement of direction estimation in a monopulse radar device is expected.

There is provided an ultra-small size broadband coupler. A Lange coupler according to an embodiment includes: first lines which are formed in a spiral shape, and have a first port and a second port formed at one end thereof and have connection ends formed at the other end thereof; and second lines which are formed in a spiral shape, and have connection ends formed at one end thereof to be connected to the connection ends of the first lines, and have a third port and a fourth port formed at the other end thereof. Accordingly, the Lange coupler maintains broadband characteristics while minimizing its area, so that it is possible to design a small component for mobile communication and to noticeably reduce an insertion loss.

Provided is a 5G dual port beamforming antenna. The beamforming antenna according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a plurality of patch antennas, and the patch antenna includes: a first patch positioned on an upper portion; a second patch positioned on a left side under the first patch and having a plurality of feeding ports formed thereon; a third patch positioned on an upper portion of a right side of the second patch; and a fourth patch positioned on a lower portion of the right side of the second patch. Accordingly, 3D wide angle beamforming is possible in an antenna to be used in 5G mobile communication systems, military radar systems, etc.

A control system connected to a plurality of array antenna performs beamforming. The control system requests a first antenna group predetermined from a plurality of array antenna to radiate beams to a plurality of predetermined sectors. The control system receives response beams inputting to the first antenna group in response to the radiated beams, decides a sector having comparatively stronger intensity among response beams for a plurality of sectors as an optimized sector, and requests a second antenna group to radiate beams to a plurality of sectors included in the optimized sector. The control system receives response beams inputting to the second antenna group, decides a sector related to a beam having comparatively stronger intensity among response beams for the plurality of sectors in the optimized sector, decides a plurality of beam levels, and decides a final beam pair among the plurality of the decided beam levels.

There is provided a self-diagnostic apparatus of a magnetic coupling type. The self-diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a signal detection line which is magnetic-coupled with an RF signal line through a magnetic coupling loop; and a signal detector configured to detect a size and a phase of an RF signal by detecting a current flowing through the signal detection line. Accordingly, the apparatus grasps and diagnoses respective operation states of channels by itself in a beamforming system, without increasing and a size of the system and degrading performance.

A hybrid type transceiver for broadband large area beamforming is provided. A communication device includes: antennas; first phase shifters (PSs) configured to adjust respective phases of reception signals received via the antennas; and a first time delay (TD) configured to adjust delays for the reception signals the phases of which are adjusted at the first PSs. Accordingly, in designing a broadband communication system using a large area array antenna, the structure of the system can be simplified, a size can be reduced, power consumption can be reduced, and a resolution of the system can be enhanced.

A radio frequency (RF) switch with a transformer and a switching method thereof are provided. The RF switch includes a transmitting end transformer having a primary side connected to a transmitting end and a secondary side connected to an antenna; and a receiving end transformer having a primary side connected to the antenna and a secondary side connected to a receiving end. In a transmission mode, the transmitting end transformer is tuned on, and, in a reception mode, the receiving end transformer is turned on. Accordingly, since switching is performed based on transformers rather than transistors connected in series, the RS switch, which can achieve high linearity and low insertion loss as well as high isolation, can be implemented.

The down-frequency conversion circuit includes a harmonic mixer and general mixer, and thus becomes able to convert frequency using one LO (Local Oscillator) frequency, thereby reducing burden on generating LO frequency.

There is provided a communication chip package integrating an antenna and a heat dissipation ground. In the integrated package according to an embodiment, a heat dissipation ground is coupled to a high frequency communication chip package, an antenna patch is directly disposed on an upper portion of a mold of a ceramic material, changes are made to the structure of the ceramic mold to minimize a wire bonding length to a communication chip, a capacitive power feeding method is applied through a sidewall of the ceramic mold, and heat is discharged through a lower portion of the package and also through a PCB or an additional heat dissipation structure of a lower portion of the PCB. Accordingly, an insertion loss may be minimized and an effect of heat dissipation may be maximized.
