Abstract:
A detecting unit detects any image area corresponding to a subject from the first image which is reduced resolution of an image that captured by an image capturing unit. With no image area detected as corresponding to the subject, a first control unit deems that an image area corresponding to the subject is absent in the image that captured by the image capturing unit. On the other hand, when the detecting unit detects an image area corresponding to the subject, a first determining unit determines whether or not the image area that detected by the detecting unit is an image area corresponding to the subject. If the area is determined to correspond to the subject, a second control unit deems that an image area corresponding to the subject is present in the image that captured by the image capturing unit.
Abstract:
In a digital camera (1), when a plurality of EV shift values are selected and operation of a set key is performed by a user, a CPU calculates shutter speeds that respectively correspond to the selected EV shift values (S6). Next, the CPU repeatedly picks up images in sequence at the individual calculated shutter speeds, sorts the picked-up frame image data by shutter speed, and generates moving image data for individual shutter speeds. Then, the CPU multiple-displays the generated moving image data for each shutter speed as through images (S9), and records the generated moving image data for each shutter speed (S17).
Abstract:
A cemented carbide ball end mill comprises a cutting portion with a semi-spherical ball portion at a tip thereof. The cutting edge portion has a cutting edge rake face and a chip evacuating flute at the ball portion. An angle formed by a straight line connecting a vertex of the ball portion, where an intersection line passes through, and another end of the intersection line with respect to the central axis, is from 30° to 50°. Further, and angle formed by the rake face and the chip evacuating flute is from 100° to 150°, and a width of the chip evacuating flute is 0.5 to 5 times as large as a radius of the ball portion.
Abstract:
In an air conditioning system mounted on a vehicle whose roof is openable and closable, adjustment of the air volume from the blower is made based on whether the roof is open or closed. When it is determined that the roof is open, the air volume from the blower is increased according to an increase in a vehicle speed. As such, when the vehicle speed is increased, and airflow entrapped from rearward to frontward becomes strong while the roof is open, adjustment to the air volume is made.
Abstract:
A container 2 comprising: a fixed side plate 10 placed upward on a pallet 4 so as to envelope at least three directions, a first pivotal side plate 12 mounted on an upper end of the fixed side plate 10 detachably and pivotally toward the inside of the container 2, a second side plate 24 mounted on an upper end of the first pivotal side plate 12 pivotally toward the outside of the container 2. The container 2 preferably further comprises; pivotal projections 14 provided on both sides of lower end of the first pivotal side plate 12, a frame member 8 for holding both sides of the fixed side plate 10, which has a vertical groove 18 for accepting the pivotal projection 14 to be inserted and a horizontal groove 20 formed under the vertical groove 18 for holding the pivotal projection 14 in order to lock the pivotal projection 14 from being pulled out upward. The container is easy to take out the goods, is able to be made smaller by folding up the container when the container is returned and is able to return the members for protecting the goods contained in the container.
Abstract:
A multi-disk player according to the invention has a disk table which comprises (1) a large size disk mounting section on which a large size disk is mounted, (2) a turn table rotatable about an axis which is a predetermined eccentric distance away from the axis of the large size disk mounting section. The turn table includes thereon a plurality of small size disk mounting sections on each of which a small size disk is placed. The eccentric distance is determined such that the axis of each small size disk mounting section is made to coincide with the axis of the large size disk mounting section by rotating the turn table. The player having such an arrangement has a disk driving device whose circuit structure is simplified, and solely plays a plurality of types of disks having different diameters such as CDs and LDs.Further the player plays a disk arbitrarily selected from a plurality of small size disks and successively plays a plurality of small size disks.
Abstract:
When a continuous imaging mode is set, a screen is displayed for allowing input of a number of images to shoot and the imaging parameters for each of the images, a determination is made as to whether the number of images to shoot and the imaging parameters for each of the images have been input by the user. When the number of images to shoot and the imaging parameters for each of the images have been input, the input number of images and the imaging parameters are stored, and a direct image display is started. Moreover, when there is an imaging instruction, a continuous imaging process is started in which still imaging is performed continuously based on the stored number of images and the imaging parameters. When the continuous imaging process has been completed, the plurality of still image data, obtained with differing imaging parameters, is recorded.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a wear-resistant particle which can be substantially uniformly dispersed in a molten pool. Specifically disclosed is a wear-resistant particle (13) which is dispersed in a matrix metal for improving wear resistance thereof. The wear-resistant particle is characterized by being composed of a material containing a first hard material and a second hard material while having a particle diameter of 0.2-9 mm. The wear-resistant particle is further characterized in that the material consists of 60-96% by volume of a carbide and the balance of a metal.
Abstract:
The image pickup apparatus 100 comprises the image pickup unit 1 to pick up an image of the subject which a user desires, a detecting of the face image area which includes the face of the subject person in the picked-up image based on the image information of the picked-up image, a recognizing of the expression of the face in the detected face image area, a ranking of the face image areas in the order of good smile of the recognized expressions and a displaying of the face image areas F arranged in the order of ranking and the entire picked-up image G on the same screen.
Abstract:
A control unit controls brightness of a liquid crystal display unit such that the brightness becomes darker as a distance between an electronic view finder and an operator measured by a distance measuring sensor becomes shorter. With this structure, even if the operator takes his or her eye off from the electronic view finder, the liquid crystal display unit is not switched from an OFF state to an ON state. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the brightness of the liquid crystal display unit from becoming burdensome to an operator when the eye of the operator approaches the electronic view finder.
