    摘要: Provided is a composition for removing a sulfur-containing compound present in liquid or vapor, the sulfur-containing compound being hydrogen sulfide, an —SH group-containing compound or a mixture thereof, the composition containing an α,β-unsaturated aldehyde represented by the following general formula (1) as an active ingredient; wherein R1 and R2 each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, or are connected to each other to represent an alkylene group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms; and R3 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or is connected to R1 to represent an alkylene group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms.

    摘要: A method for producing a γ,δ-unsaturated alcohol of formula (2): wherein R1 to R3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally substituted with a hydroxy group, an alkenyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally substituted with a hydroxy group, or an aryl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms and optionally substituted with a hydroxy group, provided that R1 and R3 may bond to each other to form a ring, through a reaction of an α-olefin of formula (1) and formaldehyde under a heating condition: the method including a step of bringing the α-olefin into contact with an aqueous formaldehyde solution in the presence of an alcohol having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, with the aqueous formaldehyde solution being subjected to preheating at 30 to 220° C. before the step.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a process for producing an octadiene from 2,7-octadienyl formate in an industrially useful manner in which palladium can maintain its catalytic activity for a long period of time. More specifically, the present invention relates to a process for producing an octadiene which includes the steps of continuously adding 2,7-octadienyl formate into a reaction system in which a mixture of a palladium compound, a tertiary organophosphorus compound and a solvent is present; and subjecting the 2,7-octadienyl formate to reaction while continuously distilling off a reaction product containing the resulting octadiene out of the reaction system.
