Abstract: Prepared is a halogenated carbon material, which reduces a carbon material having an oxygen-based functional group by introducing a halogen gas or a mixed gas of a halogen gas and an inert gas into the carbon material having an oxygen-based functional group, and dopes a halogen into the carbon material. The resulting halogenated carbon material includes one or more selected from a group consisting of C—Y2 and C—Y3, and may be suitably for an energy device such as a fuel cell, a lithium ion battery, and a solar cell.
