Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lithium air battery including: an anode including lithium; a cathode located so as to face the anode and using oxygen as a cathode active material; an electrolyte solution located between the anode and the cathode and containing a solvent and a lithium salt; and carbon dioxide, wherein the solvent is a heteroaliphatic solvent having a dielectric constant of 30 or more and containing a nitrogen atom or a sulfur atom. The present disclosure may provide a lithium air battery that reduces a discharge product that deteriorates performance of the lithium air battery and exhibits improved cyclability at a low temperature.
