Abstract: A system and related method for retrieving, for a first image structure (S1) in an initial image (IG1), a corresponding image structure (S2) in a second image (IG2). The system accepts as input a location of the first structure (S1) in the initial image (IG1) along with an additional structure property such as spectral information to so reduce ambiguity.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining contrast-enhanced image data having a plurality of voxels, each voxel having an intensity value. The method further includes determining a vesselness value for each voxel. The method further includes determining a hypo-density value for each voxel. The method further includes weighting each of the intensity values by a corresponding vesselness value. The method further includes weighting each of the hypo- density values by the corresponding vesselness value. The method further includes combining the weighted intensity values and the weighted hypo-density values, thereby generating composite image data. The method further includes visually displaying the composite image data.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a compression and shielding device (10) for X-ray mammography, an X-ray mammography system, and a method for X-ray mammography. The compression and shielding device (10) for X-ray mammography comprises a compression element (11), and a shielding (12). The compression element (11) is arranged to compress a part of the breast to be examined. The shielding (12) is to be arranged between an X-ray source (2) and the compression element (11) to shield an uncompressed part of the breast from the X-ray radiation. The shielding (12) is formed to allow the direction of X-ray radiation to the compressed part of the breast and to keep an uncompressed part of the breast uncovered.

It is described to provide (210) a first projection image data set and a second projection image data set acquired after acquisition of the first projection image data set, wherein, the first projection image data set comprises first projection data, and the second projection image data set comprises second projection data, and wherein the first projection image data set is useable for the reconstruction of a tomosynthesis image of at least a region of interest of a body part and wherein the second projection image data set is useable for the reconstruction of a tomosynthesis image of at least the region of interest of the body part. A subset of the first projection data is selected (220). An enhanced image of at least the region of interest of the body part is reconstructed (230) on the basis of the subset of the first projection data and second projection reconstruction data comprising at least a first subset of the second projection data.
