Abstract: The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for treating mucositis associated with treatment-induced neutropenia in a patient. The methods comprise applying a biophotonic composition comprising a fluorescent dye and a carrier to mucosal lesions and subsequently exposing the composition to actinic light.
