Abstract:
An input-key control device is mounted on an apparatus having a plurality of operating modes and controls a plurality of input keys that receive input provided by a user. The input-key control device includes: a key-related-information storage unit that stores the operating modes and key-identifying information in association with each other, the key-identifying information being information for identifying an operable input key; an input-key identifying unit that identifies, when the operating mode is switched, an input key which has newly become operable as a result of the switching of the operating mode by comparing the key-identifying information associated with the operating mode before the switching and the key-identifying information associated with the operating mode after the switching; and a light-emission control unit that causes a lighting manner of a light-emitting element that illuminates the input key identified by the input-key identifying unit to differ.

Abstract:
A novel image processing apparatus that provides effective digitized audio while ensuring audio clarity and outputs image data adding the digitized audio is provided. The image processing apparatus includes an audio recording unit that stores audio data based on input audio in an audio storage device, a data editing unit that adds the audio data to image data, control circuitry that instructs the recording unit to record when a predetermined recording condition is satisfied, and a data output unit to output the image data in an appropriate format. For example, the control circuitry considers a condition that the scanner scans the document set on a platen as the recording condition.
Abstract:
An operation panel of an image forming apparatus includes a “START” key, a mode select key, a numeric keypad, a “CLEAR/STOP” key, and a liquid crystal display. The mode select key is used to select functions such as copier, facsimile, printer, and scanner functions. The “START” key includes an indicator that contains a green light-emitting element. The green light-emitting element is arranged under a transparent or half-transparent cover so that a light therefrom can be seen through the cover. The green light-emitting element is, for example, a green light-emitting diode (LED) having an emission wavelength of from 520 nanometers to 530 nanometers. By turning the green LED on, the indicator indicates that the image forming apparatus is available.
