Abstract: Techniques are described by which a network management system (NMS) receives, from a plurality of access points (APs) configured to provide a wireless network, received signal strength indicator (RSSI) values. The NMS generates, based on the RSSI values, a graph of the plurality of APs, wherein the graph of the plurality of APs includes a plurality of clusters, wherein each cluster comprises a subset of the plurality of APs that are grouped based on strength of connectivity between the subset of the plurality of APs. The NMS generates, based on the graph, an upgrade plan to upgrade the plurality of APs, wherein the upgrade plan comprises a plurality of batches, wherein each batch includes a selection of at least one AP from each of one or more of the plurality of clusters. The NMS sends the upgrade plan to an orchestrator to execute the upgrade plan.

Abstract: A network management system (NMS) initiates, for each of a plurality of wireless and/or wired client devices, a wireless/wired stateful machine configured to continuously monitor at least one pre-connection state and at least one post-connection state of a corresponding wireless/wired connection session, and determines one or more network connection assessments for the plurality of wireless/wired client devices based on success or failure of the pre-connection states and/or the post-connection states. The NMS may also output a notification including identification of a root cause of any network connection failure(s) and/or automatically invoke remedial action intended to address or mitigate the root cause of the network connection failure(s).

Abstract: The disclosure describes one or more techniques for performing automated scheduling and/or orchestration of synthetic tests for network sites. For example, a network management system comprises a memory and one or more processors in communication with the memory and configured to: determine, based on data received from a plurality of network devices of a network, a network condition to perform a test, wherein the network condition comprises one or more of a time window to perform the test or one or more network devices of the plurality of network devices to perform the test; instruct, based on the network condition, the one or more network devices to perform the test; identify, based on data obtained from the one or more network devices that performed the test, an issue of the network; and perform an action based on the identified issue.
