摘要: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to fast transition Wi-Fi roaming operations. A device may generate, during a first association of the device to a first access point, a request to authenticate the device to a second access point; send, during the first association, the request to authenticate; receive, during the first association, a response indicating that the device is authenticated to the second access point; generate, during the first association, a reassociation request to the second access point; determine that a time between sending the request to authenticate and generating the reassociation request is less than a threshold time; send, based on the determination that the time is less than the threshold time, the reassociation request to the second access point; and receive a reassociation response indicative of a second association of the device to the second access point.

The reservation control logic may grant a reservation to the user device to enable the access and schedule delivery of an authentication message to the user device including a credential to enable the user device to set up an ad hoc wireless connection with the enterprise device at the future time, without involvement of a user of the user device. 摘要: A Quality-of-Service (QoS) Management AP is configured to support QoS Management features and to perform a QoS Management Protocol. The AP decodes an Enhanced Add Traffic Stream (E-ADDTS) Request QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Req) received from a station (STA) to initiate QoS setup for a traffic stream. The STA may be a QoS Management STA configured to support the QoS Management features and perform the QoS Management protocol. The AP may encode, for transmission to the STA in response to the E-ADDTS Req, an E-ADDTS Response QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Resp) which includes a status code to indicate whether the QoS setup has been accepted. When the QoS setup is accepted, the E-ADDTS Resp includes a QoS setup ID within a QoS setup ID field in the E-ADDTS Resp that uniquely identifies the QoS setup for the traffic stream.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for quality-of-service policies in wireless local area networks. Apparatuses of a station (STA) are disclosed, where the apparatuses comprise processing circuitry configured to encode for transmission to an access point (AP) a quality of service (QoS) query frame and decode a QoS request frame from the AP, the QoS request frame indicating a plurality of QoS policies offered by the AP. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode for transmission to the AP a QoS response frame, the QoS response frame indicating a status of a QoS policy of the plurality of QoS policies. Apparatuses of the AP are disclosed to encode QoS request frames and decode QoS response frames. The AP and STAs implement the negotiated QoS policies by using a QoS WLAN priority based on frames including packets being sent and received from specific addresses.
