Abstract: A method and device for providing payload length indication in IEEE 802.11 wireless communications are disclosed. The last OFDM symbol of a transmission is divided into multiple symbol segments and a number of medium access control layer (MAC) and physical layer (PHY) symbol segments are then allocated. The allocated number of MAC symbol segments is indicated using a field in the SIGNAL field or MAC frame body. Mapping between MAC and PHY symbol segments is provided as is additional puncturing for OFDM symbol usage.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of encoding Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) packet protocol data units (PPDU) is disclosed. For LDPC codeword of lengths 3888 and/or 7776, the number and length of codewords to use may depend on the number of available bits. In this case, if the number of available bits is larger than 1944 and less than 2596, two codewords of length 1944 or a single codeword of length 3888 to encode the PPDU is used to encode the PPDU. For larger numbers of available bits, one or more codewords of length 3888 or 7776 is used to encode the PPDU. Shortening and/or puncturing, when used, is also based on the number of available bits.

Abstract: An access point station (AP) configured for wideband channel operation may communicate with non-access point stations (STAs) over channel bandwidths that include one or more primary channels. For channel bandwidths that include more than one primary channel, the AP may communicate with the STAs within those channel bandwidths even though the NAV of one of the primary channels within the channel bandwidth has not expired. In these embodiments, the AP does not need to wait for the NAV of a primary channel to expire to transmit a wideband transmission when another primary channel is the channel bandwidth is available.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to communicating time-critical ultra-low latency (ULL) data. An access point station (AP) communicates time-critical ULL data using aggregated MAC Protocol Data Unit (A-MPDU) preemption. When time-critical ULL data for a second associated STA (STA2) becomes available at a medium access control (MAC) layer of the AP during transmission of a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) to a first associate station (STA1), the AP may encode the time-critical ULL data in a new A-MPDU subframe for insertion before one of the A-MPDU subframes of the PPDU that has not yet been transmitted. The new A-MPDU subframe may be encoded to include zero-padding to set a size of the new A-MPDU subframe equal to a size of the A-MPDU subframe that has been preempted. The A-MPDU subframes 606 for STA1 may be encoded include a MAC address of the STA1 and the new A-MPDU subframe 608 may be encoded include a MAC address of the STA2.

Abstract: A Quality-of-Service (QoS) Management AP is configured to support QoS Management features and to perform a QoS Management Protocol. The AP decodes an Enhanced Add Traffic Stream (E-ADDTS) Request QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Req) received from a station (STA) to initiate QoS setup for a traffic stream. The STA may be a QoS Management STA configured to support the QoS Management features and perform the QoS Management protocol. The AP may encode, for transmission to the STA in response to the E-ADDTS Req, an E-ADDTS Response QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Resp) which includes a status code to indicate whether the QoS setup has been accepted. When the QoS setup is accepted, the E-ADDTS Resp includes a QoS setup ID within a QoS setup ID field in the E-ADDTS Resp that uniquely identifies the QoS setup for the traffic stream.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to multi-link acknowledgments. A device may transmit a trigger frame to a station device (STA) multi-link device (MLD), wherein the trigger frame polls the STA MLD to announce presence on communication links. The device may identify a null data packet (NDP) from the STA MLD announcing its presence on a set of communication links. The device may establish the set of communication links with the STA MLD, wherein the STA MLD comprises a plurality of station devices (STAs). The device may allocate a plurality of tone-sets to the plurality of STAs within the STA MLD. The device may identify energy on the allocated tone-sets for each link that the STA MLD has presence on.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices related to an EHT multi-AP group are described. The coordinated APs of the EHT group are synchronized to the coordinator AP using a periodic or non-periodic frame. Each coordinated AP then synchronizes STAs associated with the coordinated AP. In response to an MPDU, either triggered by a trigger frame from the coordinator AP or initiated by the STA, an ACK frame or NDP response is sent by each AP receiving the MPDU. The response to the MPDU is dependent on whether frame aggregation is used, as well as whether the trigger frame triggers transmission of MPDUs from multiple STAs.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to multi-user uplink channel sounding. A device may determine a channel sounding sequence with one or more access points (APs), wherein the channel sounding sequence comprises a null data packet announcement (NDPA) communicated with at least one of the one or more APs. The device may determine a first group of station devices (STAs) associated with a first basic service set (BSS). The device may cause to send a trigger frame to the first group of STAs to solicit an uplink NDP from each STA of the first group of STAs. Abstract: For example, a STA may determine a pre-FEC padding factor value for a PPDU, the pre-FEC padding factor value in a range between 1 and 2Na, wherein Na is an integer greater than 2; set Na bits in a Signal (SIG) field of the PPDU to indicate the pre-FEC padding factor value; and encode a data field of the PPDU according to a FEC coding based on the pre-FEC padding factor value. For example, a STA may encode a data field of a PPDU according to a FEC coding based on a pre-FEC padding factor value and based on a condition that no post-FEC padding is to be applied for the PPDU; and set an LDPC extra symbol subfield in a SIG field of the PPDU to indicate whether or not an LDPC extra symbol is present based on encoding of the data field of the PPDU.
