Abstract: An inhalation device controller includes a power supply unit configured to supply power to an atomizer including a heater configured to heat an aerosol source, a detection circuit configured to detect a resistance value of the heater, a processor configured to generate a control signal in accordance with a smoothed signal generated by smoothing information obtained using the detection circuit, and a holding portion configured to hold the atomizer in a detachable state. The holding portion includes a first electrical contact contacting a third electrical contact of the atomizer, and a second electrical contact contacting a fourth electrical contact of the atomizer. Information obtained using the detection circuit is affected by stress applied to the first to fourth electrical contacts when attaching the atomizer to the holding portion.

Abstract: This flavor-generating device includes: a circuit in which a power source, a first load for atomizing an aerosol source or heating a flavor source, and a second load different from the first load are electrically connected; a control unit configured so as to acquire a request for supply of power to each of the first load and the second load, and so as to control the circuit so that power is supplied from the power supply to each of the first load and the second load on the basis of the request; and a reducing means configured so that, when the control unit simultaneously acquires the request to the first load and the request to the second load, or when the control unit controls the circuit so that the supply of power to the first load and the supply of power to the second load are performed simultaneously, the electric power discharged from the power supply or the electric power amount is reduced to less than a maximum electric power for when the power supply discharges to the first load and the second load simultaneously or a maximum electric power amount.

Abstract: A power supply unit for an aerosol generation device through which flavored aerosol is inhaled includes: a power supply configured to discharge electricity to an atomizer configured to atomize an aerosol source and a heater configured to heat a flavor source that adds a flavor component to aerosol generated from the aerosol source; and a processing device configured to acquire a flow rate of inhalation of a user. When the inhalation of the user is detected, the processing device discharges electricity from the power supply to the atomizer so as to generate aerosol. The processing device controls power to be discharged to the heater based on the flow rate such that a concentration of a flavor component contained in a fluid inhaled by the user becomes a target value.

A first range that a value of the information takes in a holding state in which the holding portion holds the atomizer and a second range that the value of the information takes in a non-holding state in which the holding portion does not hold the atomizer do not include ranges overlapping each other.

Abstract: A power supply unit for an aerosol inhaler, which causes an aerosol generated from an aerosol source to pass through a flavor source, includes: a power supply dischargeable to a first load configured to heat the aerosol source and dischargeable to a second load configured to heat the flavor source; a notification unit; a processing device; a circuit board; and a conductive portion configured to electrically connect the second load and the circuit board. The processing device is configured to detect adhesion of a liquid to the second load or entry of the liquid into the conductive portion. When the adhesion or the entry is detected, the processing device executes at least one of a notification action that causes the notification unit to execute a notification and a first fail-safe action including prevention of discharging from the power supply to the second load.
