摘要: An artificial joint cup (2), in particular a hip joint cup, for implanting in a cavity in a bone. The joint cup (2) is, in particular, substantially in the form of a spherical dome cup, having a convex outer surface (3) and a concave inner surface (4). In addition, the joint cup (2) comprises an outer diameter (OD) and an inner diameter (ID). The ratio of the difference (D) between the outer diameter (OD) and the inner diameter (ID) in relation to the outer diameter (OD) is in a region between 0.5 and 0.07, preferably between 0.3 and 0.075, particularly preferably between 0.2 and 0.1. The joint cup (2) is manufactured from a ceramic material, and the convex outer surface (3) has a micro-structuring.

摘要: A shell (1) for a prosthetic joint to be driven into a bone substance. The shell having an outer lateral surface (4) which is convexly curved in cross section and on which a plurality of ribs (5) is arranged. All ribs extend in the same direction at a preferably increasing gradient angle of 45° to 85° at the equatorial end (6) to a pole-side end (7). The cumulative flank projection area of all ribs (5) corresponds to at least a fifth of the entire outer lateral surface. As a result of this measure, a very high primary stability is achieved once the shell has been driven in, the shell being screwed into the bone substance very precisely and without bone material being sheared off. This arrangement can also be applied, similarly, to a concavely curved inner lateral surface.

摘要: An implant (1), in particular an acetabular implant, for implantation into a bone has, at least in parts, a surface structure (2) of raised portions (3) and depressions (4). The depressions (4) have zones coated with a porous coating (5). The raised portions are either not coated at all or are coated such that the coating has a thin layer thickness or a higher abrasion resistance in these portions. In this way, an improved abrasion behavior is reached when the implant is inserted into the bone.
