Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for providing a nozzle having refined print control and enhanced printing speed by providing, on the inside or outside or on an interstitial substrate layer, of any metallic or non-metallic nozzle of a non-conductive surface suitable to support sensors relevant to the FFF process. Heat, force, flow, strain, stress, extrusion force, and like sensors may be provided on the inside or the outside of any nozzle, or on an interstitial substrate layer on the inside or outside of any nozzle. The sensors may be provided about the center access through the nozzle, longitudinally along the center access of the nozzle, or at any of various points along the nozzle, wherein the placement or shape of such sensors may vary in accordance with the type of sensing to be performed by the subject sensor.

Abstract: The disclosure is of and includes at least an apparatus, system and method for a print head for additive manufacturing. The apparatus, system and method may include at least two proximate hobs suitable to receive and extrude therebetween a print material filament for the additive manufacturing, each of the two hobs comprising two halves, wherein each of the hob halves comprises teeth that are offset with respect to the teeth of the opposing hob half; a motor capable of imparting a rotation to at least one of the two hobs, wherein the extrusion results from the rotation; and an interface to a hot end capable of outputting the print material filament after at least partial liquification to perform the additive manufacturing.

Abstract: A polymer material suitable for three-dimensional printing that may include at least one of polyether block amide, thermoplastic polyurethane, and thermoplastic olefin. The polymer is formed through chemical precipitation forming a precipitated pulverulent polymer which possesses increased operating window characteristics selected from the group consisting at least one of a wider than typical range between and among the melting and recrystallization temperatures, a larger enthalpy upon melting, and a low volumetric change during recrystallization.

Abstract: A nylon 5 powder suitable for three-dimensional printing is provided. The process includes adding nylon 5 and ethanol to a container; wherein an amount of ethanol is about two to five times an amount by weight of the nylon 5; raising a temperature in the container to between about 130 degrees Celsius and about 150 degrees Celsius; forming a solution of nylon 5 in the ethanol; cooling the solution to a precipitation temperature of the nylon 5 to between about 100 degrees Celsius and about 125 degrees Celsius; agitating the solution; precipitating the nylon 5 in powder form from the solution; and removing the nylon 5 powder from the container.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems and methods capable of controlling an additive manufacturing print process on an additive manufacturing printer. The disclosed embodiments may include: a plurality of sensors capable of monitoring at least one of an input of print filament to a print head of the printer, and a temperature of a nozzle of the printer, as indicative of a state of the additive manufacturing print process; at least one processor associated with at least one controller and capable of receiving sensor data regarding the monitoring from the plurality of sensors, and comprising non-transitory computing code for applying to the sensor data at least one correct one of the state of the additive manufacturing print process; a comparator embedded in the non-transitory computing code for assessing a lack of compliance of the print process to the correct one of the state; and at least one modifying output of the at least one controller to revise the compliance of the print process to the correct one of the state.
