    Abstract: A DC-to-DC voltage regulator circuit comprising: an output node; a pull-up switch and a pull-down switch with an output node coupled between them; a reactive circuit element coupled to the output node; a pull-up setting voltage circuit coupled to provide a pull-up setting voltage that is a function of a voltage at the output node; a pull-down setting voltage circuit coupled to provide a pull-down setting voltage that is a function of the voltage at the output node; a first comparator coupled to cause the pull-up switch to transition between open switch state and its closed switch state based upon a comparison of the pull-up setting voltage and a control voltage; and a second comparator coupled to cause the pull-down switch to transition between its open switch state and its closed switch state.

    Abstract: Abstract: An electrosurgical method is provided to seal biological tissue comprising providing RF power to the tissue during an RF power delivery time interval comprising: measuring a change in impedance of the tissue with respect to RF energy delivered to the tissue during an initial portion of the time interval; selecting an RF power delivery profile, based at least in part upon the measured change in impedance of the tissue with respect to RF energy delivered to the tissue; and imparting RF power to the tissue according to the selected RF power delivery profile during a latter portion of the time interval.

    Abstract: An electrosurgical system for sealing and cutting tissue includes an electrosurgical signal generator sealing stage to provide an AC sealing signal on a set of sealing electrodes, an electrosurgical signal generator cutting stage to provide an AC cutting signal on a set of cutting electrodes, and one or more controllers configured to control the electrosurgical signal generator sealing stage and the electrosurgical signal generator cutting stage. The set of sealing electrodes and the set of cutting electrodes share at least one electrode in common. The set of sealing electrodes and the set of cutting electrodes are coupled to a plurality of surfaces positioned on first and second jaws of an end effector. In some embodiments, the AC sealing signal and the AC cutting signal are in-phase.

    Abstract: A computer-assisted medical device is configured and used to endoluminally navigate to a location in the gastrointestinal system and there treat certain body lumen wall areas while avoiding other body lumen wall areas. Embodiments ablate the inner mucosal layer and sub-mucosal nerve plexus of the stomach, duodenum and jejunum to effect treatment of insulin resistance and metabolic disorders, such as Type II diabetes (T2D), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), congestive heart failure (CHF) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Various sensors are used to assist a clinical operator to navigate from the mouth through the pyloric sphincter and into and through the duodenum and/or jejunum. Various sensors are used to map and identify portions of the duodenum and/or jejunum. Various lumen wall ablation devices and methods are described. Various post-treatment assessments are described.

    Abstract: A system is provided to detect a breach of an insulative sheath in a bipolar electrosurgical instrument the system including: a first pulse detection circuit to detect a first high frequency (HF) signal component of a HF signal conducted on a lead of the bipolar instrument; a second pulse detection circuit to detect a second HF signal component of the HF signal conducted on a conductive shield surrounding the lead; magnitude difference sampling logic to produce sample values indicative of magnitude difference between the first HF signal component and the second HF signal component; and current detection logic to detect current flow between the shield and anatomical tissue based upon the sample values.
