Abstract: Various embodiments to enable Spectrum Access System (SAS) controlled interference management are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a memory to store network configuration data and a processing device coupled to the memory. The processing device to generate a protection band based on interference measurements. The protection band is allocated to at least one of the infrastructure node of a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network infrastructure. In this regard, the interference measurements are related to transmissions of data between infrastructure nodes of the LTE network infrastructure. Thereupon, a time slot is determined for the at least one of the infrastructure node based on the protection band. The time slot indicates an allocated time frame to access data in the LTE network infrastructure using a radio frequency in accordance with the protection band.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method for reducing power consumption of a first device for use in a wireless communication system. The first device receives a signal within a first reference sub-frame of a radio channel. The device determines whether to use the signal for obtaining channel state information to be reported to a second device within a reporting sub-frame, or whether to receive and use a second signal within a second reference sub-frame of the radio channel for obtaining channel state information to be reported to the second device within said predetermined later sub-frame. Based on this determination, the first device reports channel state information obtained based on the signal received within said first reference sub-frame or said second signal within said second reference sub-frame to the second device within said reporting sub-frame.

Abstract: A method for detecting a transmission from an interfering radio cell includes: receiving a signal comprising transmissions from a serving radio cell and from a plurality of interfering radio cells, wherein a reference symbol of a transmission from at least one interfering radio cell of the plurality of interfering radio cells is colliding with a reference symbol of a transmission from the serving radio cell; generating a set of transmission signal hypotheses, each of which is dependent on at least one interferer parameter of the at least one interfering radio cell; obtaining at least one interferer radio cell identifier; and detecting a transmission from at least one interfering radio cell of the plurality of interfering radio cells in the received signal based on the at least one interferer radio cell identifier and the set of transmission signal hypotheses.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to perform carrier measurements in a wireless network is disclosed. The UE can receive, from a network element, one or more switching parameters that indicate possible switching occasions for the UE. The UE can be configured to switch a radio frequency (RF) to another carrier frequency during the possible switching occasions in order to start performing carrier measurements or stop performing carrier measurements. The can send, to the network element, a switching notification that indicates an upcoming switching occasion that is selected by the UE. The switching notification can be sent in conjunction with a measurement value that indicates one or more of: selected carriers for which the UE is to start performing carrier measurements after an occurrence of the switching occasion or selected carriers for which the UE is to stop performing carrier measurements after the occurrence of the switching occasion.
