摘要： A method of making a molded plastic arch shape cross section stormwater chamber having a corrugated wall comprises molding half chambers which are connected by hinges at a joint at the top of the chamber. The chambers may be compactly stored and transported in splayed out configuration. Later, upward force is applied to the hinge joint location of each chamber, so the half chambers are rotated by force of gravity, whereby a faying surface on each half chamber is urged toward the like surface of the other half chamber. The faying surfaces are then fused to each other, preferably as a result of prior heating or by melting of a fusion weld element that is captured in the space between the faying surfaces.

摘要： A plastic tank is comprised of two parts, a base and a top, that are permanently joined to each other by welding at a circumferential joint formed by two mating flanges of the parts. Fusion weld elements are captured on the faying surfaces of the flanges of the assembled parts, and the elements melted by internal heating of metal portions of the elements. Before heating of the elements, the flanges are gripped by a clamp which applies a resilient force which, during welding, causes the flanges to move toward each other and thereby a good weld joint is formed.

摘要： A kit, and an assembly formed with components of the kit, comprises a fitting for the top of a septic tank or water tank, one or more frusto-conical rings shaped to interconnect with an identical ring to form an undulating wall riser that extends upwardly from the tank top fitting, and a lid. The lid is shaped for multi-purpose use: closing off the opening of either the large end or the small end of a ring/riser—whichever is uppermost, or closing off the fitting when there is no riser. Joints between the rings of the riser, and between a ring/riser and the fitting of a tank, are held together by latching tabs and/or screws. A fitting may be integral with a tank top.

Risers may include an angled wall connecting a first end and a second end spaced apart along a central lengthwise axis. In an embodiment, the riser may include a plurality of latches spaced around the first end and the second end with radially extending lips and canted terminal end surfaces. A plurality of receivers may be spaced between the first plurality of latches on the first end and the second end. Alternatively, plurality of latches may include a first and second latch body extending to a terminal end that comprises a first circumferentially extending lip and a first canted terminal end surface. Risers may be configured to connect to other risers to form a riser assembly.
