Abstract:
A data center network system based on software-defined network (SDN) is provided. The data center network system includes a plurality of physical machines, a plurality of Ethernet switches, a plurality of OpenFlow switches connected to each other, and a central control apparatus. Each of the physical machines includes a virtual switch and at least one virtual machine. The virtual switches modify destination media access control (MAC) addresses of packets to MAC addresses of the OpenFlow switches, such that the Ethernet switches forward the packets received from the virtual switches to the corresponding OpenFlow switches according to the MAC addresses of the OpenFlow switches. The OpenFlow switches modify the destination media access control (MAC) addresses of the packets to MAC addresses of virtual machines, such that the Ethernet switches forward the packet received from the OpenFlow switches to the corresponding virtual switches.
Abstract:
A virtual local area network configuration system, a method and a computer program product thereof are provided. The virtual local area network configuration system includes physical machines running virtual machines, Ethernet switches and a network controller. The network controller deploys VLAN groups according to the physical machines and the virtual machines, creates virtual topologies corresponding to the VLAN groups and assigns VLAN IDs to the VLAN groups, wherein at least two VLAN groups among the VLAN groups have the same VLAN ID.
Abstract:
A method for monitoring traffic in a network is provided. The method is used in a communication device, wherein the network is formed by switches and hosts. The method includes: collecting LLDP information, VLAN information, host NIC information and host-tenant mapping information to obtain a physical network topology and a plurality of virtual network topologies; detecting a plurality of physical link loads of the physical network topology; obtaining a target path between two of the hosts or between the switches by analyzing the virtual network topologies; selecting one of the switches on the target path to serve as a mirror switch according to the physical link load corresponding to the target path or a hop count; and receiving mirror traffic transmitted from the mirror switch, and performing packet payload analysis on the mirror traffic.
Abstract:
A network traffic monitoring method includes: collecting sampled packet data of a switch wherein the sampled packet data relates to a plurality of types of packets, selecting a first type of packets from the plurality of types of packets, controlling the switch to collect traffic data of the first type of packets, and estimating a traffic volume of each of the plurality of types of packets according to the traffic data and the sampled packet data.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides a streaming service system, a streaming service method and a controller thereof The streaming service system includes a plurality of switch nodes, a plurality of surrogate servers, a content management apparatus and a controller. The switch nodes are connected, and the surrogate servers are respectively connected to one of the switch nodes. The controller is connected to the switch nodes and communicates with the content management apparatus. The content management apparatus provides server information of the surrogate servers to the controller. When a first client apparatus is joined to a streaming group, the content management apparatus informs the controller. Further, the controller selects a first surrogate server from the surrogate servers, and sets at least a portion of the switch nodes to adjust a multicast tree. The first surrogate server transmits streaming packets to the first client through a first transmission route of the multicast tree.
