摘要: Embodiments of a ProSe Direct Discovery process are described. In some embodiments, an apparatus of a user equipment (UE) is configured as a Proximity Services (ProSe) enabled UE, and may encode, for transmission over a PC3 interface to a ProSe Function in a Home Public Land Mobile Network (HPLMN), a discovery request message for an announcing procedure, including transmission of one or more announcements over a PC5 interface, wherein the discovery request message for the announcing procedure includes a PC5 technology (PC5_tech) parameter to indicate a PC5 radio technology to be used by the UE for the announcing procedure. In some embodiments, the UE may decode a discovery response message for the announcing procedure, received over the PC3 interface from the ProSe Function in the HPLMN, including a ProSe application code and the PC5_tech parameter to indicate the PC5 radio technology authorized to be used for the ProSe application code.

摘要: Described herein are mechanisms to inform a first Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device as to whether or not a second NAN device is connected to a dynamic frequency selection (DFS) master and/or whether the second NAN device is listening to the same DFS master as the first NAN device. In order for NAN client devices to operate in the 5 GHz band and be DFS compliant, all such devices that are communicating in a NAN peer-to-peer manner must either maintain association with a DFS master or must listen to the same DFS master for channel information.

摘要: A STA and method of providing a subscription policy are provided. The STA determines a subscription policy for a multicast, broadcast or unicast service and provides a policy comprising an indication that indicates active subscription (i.e. group joining is required) or no subscription (i.e. group joining is prohibited) or implicit subscription (i.e. group joining is implicit), dependent on network or subscription conditions. Updates to the policy are transmitted upon one or more thresholds are being reached. Subscribers re-subscribe to the service when the indication switches from implicit subscription to active subscription.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for a wireless communication device switching between lower energy and higher energy wireless communication techniques are disclosed. The wireless communication device includes processing circuitry to: receive a packet in accordance with a lower energy wireless peer-to-peer (P2P) network communication technique from a service provider wireless device, wherein the packet indicates one or more services provided by the service provider wireless device. The processing circuitry may be further to: determine to switch to a higher energy wireless P2P communication technique to communicate with the service provider wireless device based on a determination that a target service is provided by the service provider wireless device. The processing circuitry may be further to: perform a connectivity setup with the provider wireless device to use the target service in accordance with the higher energy wireless P2P communication technique.

摘要: Embodiments of a station (STA) and method for ranging in accordance with Neighborhood Awareness Network (NAN) communication are generally described herein. An initiator STA may determine, for a data service that is to be established between the initiator STA and a responder STA on a NAN data link, whether a ranging procedure is to be performed for the data service. As part of the ranging procedure, range measurements or fine timing may be determined. When the ranging procedure is to be performed for the data service, ranging configuration parameters may be included in data request messages, publish messages and other messages sent by the STAs 103. In some cases, the STAs 103 may refrain from exchanging separate messages for communication of ranging information.
