A scene scanning method and a scene scanning system, adapted to obtain information for reconstructing a 3D model, are provided. The method comprises projecting, by a characteristic projecting unit, a characteristic pattern by applying an invisible light in a scene; capturing, by a sensing unit, a data of the scene and the characteristic pattern; and receiving, by a processing unit, the data of the scene and the characteristic pattern captured by the sensing unit.
Abstract:
An image synthesis method of a virtual object and the apparatus thereof are provided. The image synthesis method of the virtual object comprises providing a first depth image of a scene and a first two-dimensional image of the scene; providing a second depth image of the virtual object; adjusting a second depth value of the virtual object in the first depth image according to an objective location in the first depth image and a reference point of the second depth image; rendering a second two-dimensional image of the virtual object; and synthesizing the first two-dimensional image and the second two-dimensional image according to a lighting direction of the first two-dimensional image, an adjusted second depth value and the objective location in the first depth image.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a method for incremental pose estimation and photographing are provided. In the method, at least two images of a 3D object are captured at different positions encircling the 3D object. Displacements and angular displacements are detected when capturing the images. Features of the 3D object in the images, the displacements and the angular displacements are used to estimate a central position of the 3D object and a distance between the electronic apparatus and the 3D object. A circumference suitable for capturing the images of the 3D object is estimated based on the distance and is divided into several segments, and a timing interval of a timer is adjusted based on a length of the segments. A camera of the electronic apparatus is triggered at intervals set by the timer to capture the images of the 3D object.

An image synthesis method of a virtual object and the apparatus thereof are provided. Abstract:
An electronic apparatus and a method for incremental pose estimation and photographing are provided. In the method, at least two images of a 3D object are captured at different positions encircling the 3D object. Displacements and angular displacements are detected when capturing the images. Features of the 3D object in the images, the displacements and the angular displacements are used to estimate a central position of the 3D object and a distance between the electronic apparatus and the 3D object. A circumference suitable for capturing the images of the 3D object is estimated based on the distance and is divided into several segments, and a timing interval of a timer is adjusted based on a length of the segments. A camera of the electronic apparatus is triggered at intervals set by the timer to capture the images of the 3D object.
