Abstract: A variable air hole covering flap device is provided and selectively opens or closes an air hole formed in a wheel deflector or a wheel cover to allow air to be introduced toward a brake. The air hole is opened only when brake cooling of a vehicle is more necessary than aerodynamic performance of the vehicle to properly control the aerodynamic performance and the brake cooling performance of the vehicle as necessary.

Abstract: According to a link mechanism type variable wheel deflector applied to a vehicle, a deflector coupled to a cover plate using a hinge boss as a rotation center can be operated using traveling resistant wind as a driving source, a piston receiving the linear movement of a link shaft by a moment arm rotated with the deflector can unfold the deflector while compressing an elastic member, and an elastic restoring force of the elastic member can be applied to the piston to return the link shaft and the moment arm to fold the deflector, thereby strengthening the repeated durability of the elastic member compared to the rotating motion of the spring, and in particular, the rotating motion and the linear motion can be implemented by the link motion mechanism apparatus connected to the deflector, thereby implementing the high durability performance with the low-cost mechanical structure.

Abstract: A speed sensitive type active hidden air curtain of a vehicle includes: hole opening or closing devices configured to cover or open an air hole of a bumper facing traveling wind with any one of a bumper interlocking device, a lamp interlocking device, and a hole color change device to guide air to a space formed between a bumper and a wheel; a power connection member interlocked with a deflector guiding the traveling wind under the bumper to move the hole opening or closing devices; and a supporter maintaining tension of the power connection member. The speed type active hidden air curtain thereby implements a clean and differentiated design image of the bumper and improves appearance quality thereof by covering the air hole exposed to the outside.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for improving aerodynamic performance of a vehicle and a control method thereof. The apparatus is accommodated or deployed to control a flow of air around a wheel of the vehicle while the vehicle is driving. A housing is fastened to the bottom of the vehicle at a position in front of the wheel. A first flap is hinge-connected to the housing. A second flap is hinge-connected to the first flap and is movable in parallel to the bottom of the vehicle. A drive part moves the other end of the second flap. In response to the operation of the drive part, the first flap and the second flap are accommodated or deployed to control the flow of air around the wheel.
