Abstract: A computer-implemented method for multi-user multiplexing for block transmissions by an electronic device includes generating a user signal that includes a number of first samples in the time domain. The number of first samples are generated based on a discrete-time baseband signal and a predetermined guard period. A discrete Fourier transform (DFT) operation is performed on the number of first samples to obtain a number of second samples in the frequency domain. An interleaving operation is performed on the number of second samples to obtain a number of third samples in the frequency domain. An inverse-DFT (IDFT) operation is performed on the number of third samples to obtain a number of fourth samples in the time domain. A time shifting is performed on the number of fourth samples to obtain a number of shifted fourth samples. A block transmission is sent using the number of shifted fourth samples.

Abstract: This application provides a reference signal transmission method and transmission apparatus. The transmission method includes: obtaining, by a network device, reference information of a terminal device, where the reference information includes at least one of an identifier of the terminal device and scheduling information of the terminal device; determining, by the network device, a transmission parameter of a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) of the terminal device based on the reference information, where the transmission parameter includes at least one of a sequence of the PTRS and a frequency domain position of the PTRS; and transmitting, by the network device, the PTRS with the terminal device based on the transmission parameter. According to the reference signal transmission method and transmission apparatus provided in embodiments of this application, interference to the PTRS can be randomized.

Abstract: An embodiment method, by a user equipment (UE), includes performing a channel measurement (CM) on a first subset of a set of non-zero-power (NZP) CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources and an interference measurement (IM) on at least a second subset of the set of NZP CSI-RS resources. The second subset includes one or more NZP CSI-RS ports. The IM is performed according to assumptions: each NZP CSI-RS port in the second subset corresponds to an interference transmission layer, the IM being in accordance with a set of energy per resource element ratios each associated with one NZP CSI-RS resource in the second subset; and other interference not associated with the interference transmission layers is on the first and second subsets. The method includes generating a channel state information (CSI) report based on the CM and IM and transmitting the CSI report to a network.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a user equipment (UE) receives, from an access node (AN), downlink control information (DCI) triggering a transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS) of a SRS resource set. The DCI indicates a time-domain resource in available time-domain resources for transmitting the SRS resource set. The UE determines a position of the time-domain resource in the available time-domain resources based on the DCI, and transmits the SRS in accordance with the position of the time-domain resource. In another embodiment, a UE receives control information indicating a frequency resource in a carrier for transmission of one or more SRSs. The UE determines, based thereon, to segment the frequency resource into segments that each includes contiguous physical resource blocks (PRBs), and transmits a SRS in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol on a first segment and not on a second segment.

Abstract: A network controller may transmit, to a communication device, information about a portion of a sounding reference signal (SRS) bandwidth, where the SRS bandwidth has been configured for the communication device for transmitting a SRS resource set via radio resource control (RRC) signaling. The communication device may then transmit the SRS resource set in the portion of the SRS bandwidth, upon being triggered by a downlink control information (DCI) message. The information about the portion of the SRS bandwidth may be transmitted in a DCI message or a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).
