    Abstract: Embodiments of the application relates to a method and an apparatus supporting beam training. This solution may be applied to a wireless local area network system supporting 802.11 series protocols such as a next-generation Wi-Fi protocol of IEEE 802.11ax like 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7, or EHT, or a next generation of 802.11be like Wi-Fi 8, or may be applied to a UWB-based wireless personal area network system or a sensing system. The method includes: generating first information, where the first information includes direction information and quantity information, the direction information indicates M directions, and the quantity information indicates a quantity N of repeated transmissions in each of the M directions; and sending the first information in a second frequency band.

    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. In one example, a first physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) is sent over a first link, where the first PPDU carries a trigger frame. A second PPDU is sent over a second link. An end time of sending the second PPDU is not earlier than a first time and not later than a second time, the first time is related to an end time of sending the first PPDU and a state turnaround time, and the second time is related to the end time of sending the first PPDU and a short interframe space (SIFS) time.

    Abstract: The technology of this application relates to a communication method and apparatus, to not only improve transmission efficiency in a distributed resource unit (DRU) transmission mode, but also improve system performance due to a relatively low peak-to-average ratio (PAPR) of a long training field (LTF) included in a trigger-based physical layer protocol data unit (TB PPDU) transmitted based on a DRU. In an example embodiment, a station (STA) receives a trigger frame, where the trigger frame includes DRU indication information, and the DRU indication information indicates a DRU used by the STA to send a TB PPDU. The STA sends the TB PPDU on the DRU, where the TB PPDU includes a long training field (LTF).
