Abstract: A method at a network node that is configured to simultaneously transmit and receive wireless RF signals, comprising: transmitting, from the network node, a downlink message, the downlink message having a preamble that includes channel estimation information for estimating a self-interference channel; monitoring at the network node, during an initial duration while transmitting the downlink message, for the channel estimation information, and estimating a self-interference channel based on received portions of the channel estimation information; and using the estimated self-interference channel to cancel self-interference while receiving an uplink message and simultaneously transmitting a remainder of the downlink message.

The method include the steps of: transmitting, by each AP in the plurality of collaborating APs, a data frame to the receiving STA, each data frame has a preamble portion, the preamble portion including a signal (SIG) field, and the SIG field has a subfield including information representative of a total number of spatial streams transmitted by the plurality of collaborating APs.

The eight 26-tone RUs may include twenty-six consecutive data and pilot tones, and the bifurcated 26-tone RU may be split into two 13-tone portions each of which include thirteen consecutive data and pilot tones. The DC region may include seven null tones. In one example, the DC region of the 20 MHz MU-OFDMA frame consists of three DC tones and four null-data tones.

Abstract: A method for transmitting a frame includes generating an omni portion of the frame, the omni portion including a non-beamformed long training field and a signal field, the non-beamformed long training field including channel estimation information used to decode the signal field, the non-beamformed long training field configured to be transmitted through one of multiple antennas and multiple streams. The method also includes generating a multi-stream portion of the frame, the multi-stream portion including a data field and a multi-stream long training field, the multi-stream long training field including station-specific decoding information for station-specific data in the data field. The method further includes applying a beamforming indicator to the signal field of the omni portion, and transmitting the frame.

Abstract: An orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) frame tone allocation includes a 256 tone payload consisting of 228 data and pilot tones and 28 null tones. The 28 null tones consist of guard tones and at least one direct current (DC) tone. In one example, the 256 tone payload consists of 224 data tones, 4 common pilot tones, and 28 null tones. In another example, the 256 tone payload consists of 222 data tones, 6 common pilot tones, and 28 null tones. In yet another example, the 256 tone payload may consist of 220 data tones, 8 common pilot tones, and 28 null tones. The OFDMA frame may be a downlink OFDMA frame or an uplink OFDMA frame.
