摘要： An electric discharge unit of an electric discharge machine is disposed in a working tank, and a working fluid in the working tank is delivered to a filter tank by a pump. A filter for working fluid filtration wound off from a roll faces apertures in the bottom of the filter tank. When the internal pressure of the filter tank exceeds a predetermined value, the filter is moved a predetermined distance downward of the filter tank. In a position off the filter tank, that part of the filter which has been used for filtration is cleaned.

摘要： A seal is brought into contact with a filter media, a filter pump is operated to start filtration, and a signal from a pressure sensor is received. When a predetermined value is exceeded by the signal from the pressure sensor, the filter pump is stopped, the seal is separated from the filter media, and take-up of one section of the filter by a filter collection roll is started. In finishing filter supply from a filter supply roll, drive of a motor is stopped, and an alarm signal is transmitted. If the supply is not to be finished, one section of the filter is taken up by the filter collection roll, and the next stage of filtration is entered.

A controller for controlling the cooling operation of the cooling device controls the machining fluid temperature by automatically switching, depending on the relationship between the ambient temperature of the wire-cut electric discharge machine and the temperature of the machining fluid, between a fixed temperature control mode in which the machining fluid temperature is maintained at a preset value and a differential temperature control mode in which the machining fluid temperature follows the ambient temperature to limit the difference between the machining fluid temperature and the ambient temperature to a preset range.
