To provide a dental adhesive composition which does not decrease preservation stability when reacting with acidity for acquiring dental adhesive property, even though using a filler having X-ray imaging property, and does not need the conventional mixing and kneading of two or more components, the dental adhesive composition includes (a) a (meth)acrylate compound having an acid group, and (b) aluminosilicate glass powder containing Sr and/or Ba and/or Ca, and the dental adhesive composition further includes a filler and (c) a photopolymerization catalyst, where the filler does not substantially make a neutralization reaction with the (meth)acrylate compound having an acid group as the (a) component because a filler content is 15% by weight or less in terms of oxide of Al2O3, and those coexist is one.

A dental cement comprises a first paste including a (meth)acrylate monomer having an acid group, the (meth)acrylate monomer not having an acid group, having two or less of hydroxyl groups and/or amino groups and having a molecular weight of 160 or more, the filler having a specific average particle size and being inactive to the (meth)acrylate monomer having an acid group, and the amine compound as a accelerator for the undermentioned polymerizing catalyst; and the second paste including a (meth)acrylate monomer not having an acid group, having two or less of hydroxyl groups and/or amino groups and having a molecular weight of 160 or more, a filler having a specific particle size, and an organic aromatic compound having at least one —SO2— group and the peroxide as a polymerizing catalyst, thereby providing a dental cement large flexural strength, adhesiveness to dentin, small hygroscopic expansion, and low solubility.

The copolymer (A) includes a polymer or copolymer of α-β unsaturated carboxylic acid, or includes a copolymer of α-β unsaturated carboxylic acid and one or more kinds selected from a group of acrylamide, acrylonitrile, methacrylic acid ester, acrylates, vinyl chloride, allyl chloride and vinyl acetate. In the copolymer (A), the number of molecules of α-β unsaturated carboxylic acid occupies 50% or more of the total number of molecules. The dental glass ionomer cement composition further includes a compound (D) which contains a sulfur atom in one molecule, includes a carboxylic group and an amino group and does not include a polymerizable group.
