In an auxiliary drive for a trailer such as a caravan, the drive consists of a drive unit with a gearwheel. Through linear movement of the drive unit relative to the chassis, the gearwheel can be brought into engagement with a ring gear fitted either on the brake drum of a wheel of the vehicle or on an auxiliary part such as a covering drum fitted over the brake drum. The ring gear preferably lies in a plane outside the plane bounded by the inside of the wheel.

A trailer provided with a manoeuvring device. The manoeuvring device has a pivoting frame that can be moved with respect to the chassis of a trailer, such as a caravan, and is provided at the end with a roller driven by an electric motor. This roller does not engage on one of the wheels but is itself able to function as a wheel. Lifting of the chassis of the trailer is achieved with the aid of the pivoting frame, as a result of which the existing wheels at least partially lose contact with the ground surface.

The present invention relates to a measuring device for measuring flux rate and temperature of a flowable medium, comprising an external pipe sleeve and an internal pipe provided within said external pipe sleeve, with the diameter of said internal pipe having been dimensioned such that a cavity is formed between said internal pipe and said external pipe sleeve, wherein medium is allowed to flow into said internal pipe via an aperture formed at a first end of said internal pipe, and an aperture is provided at the second end of said internal pipe via which the medium can flow out of the internal pipe and exit the measuring device via said cavity. A flux meter and a temperature meter are provided within or along this flow path formed in the measuring device.

A brake operating mechanism engages on an overrun brake present on a trailer, such as a caravan. The brake mechanism includes an actuator operated by pressurized air supplied by a buffer store via a valve controlled by a control unit. Downstream of the brake valve is a valve which is open in the non-operative state and closed during operation. A throttle opening is also provided, the drain capacity of which is greater than the pump capacity of an air pump located upstream of the brake valve and connected to the buffer store. As a result, the actuator moves back under all circumstances, i.e., braking action does not take place, and overheating is effectively prevented.

The present invention discloses a water discharge fitting including a foldable water discharge pipe, the water discharge pipe being rotatably connected to a fitting body through a connecting member wherein the connecting member and the fitting body are formed locking with each other, wherein the locking has at least one locking step. The invention further discloses a one-lever mixer, especially for installation in trailers and caravans, including a water discharge fitting.

Disclosed is a method for determining the contents of a gas bottle, in particular a liquid gas bottle, comprising the following steps: First of all, the gas bottle is excited by applying a signal to a loudspeaker mounted on said gas bottle. The signal from a microphone mounted on the gas bottle is compared in phase with the signal used for excitation, with the frequency of the signal applied to said loudspeaker being altered continuously, until a resonant frequency is established. This resonant frequency is converted into a filling level of the gas bottle according to a previously determined relationship between the resonant frequency and the filling level. Furthermore, an apparatus is disclosed with which the above-mentioned method may be put into practice.
