Abstract: A wide-angle image processing apparatus and method includes receiving in a first client terminal having a display an original image captured by a wide-angle camera; receiving in the first client terminal a user input for selecting a first view mode for the display; requesting metadata corresponding to the first view mode from a shared memory accessible to the first client terminal and the wide-angle camera; receiving the metadata corresponding to the first view mode from the shared memory; and setting at least one region of interest in the original image based on the metadata corresponding to the first view mode.
