Embodiments of the present invention provide a multimedia quality monitoring method, and a device. The method includes: determining reference quality of multimedia according to reference video quality and reference audio quality of the multimedia; acquiring multimedia distortion quality that is after video distortion and/or audio distortion of the multimedia occur/occurs; and determining quality of the multimedia according to the reference quality of the multimedia and the multimedia distortion quality. Therefore, accuracy of a multimedia quality monitoring result is improved.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide frame type detection and frame size detection methods and apparatuses for a video stream. The video frame type detection method includes: obtaining a size of a current video frame; obtaining a change feature value of the current video frame; obtaining an I-frame threshold of the current video frame; and determining whether the previous first video frame is an I frame according to the change feature value of the current video frame and a change feature value of the previous first video frame, the I-frame threshold of the current video frame, and the size of the current video frame, the size of the previous first video frame, and a size of a previous second video frame. The present invention provides a complete and effective frame type detection method; in addition, impact of a video frame rate is fully considered.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for assessing video quality. The method includes: determining an actual quantization parameter and a critical quantization parameter of the target video according to a target video, where the critical quantization parameter is a maximum quantization parameter of the target video in a case in which a distortion is not evidently identifiable by human eyes; and determining quality of the target video according to the actual quantization parameter and the critical quantization parameter. According to the method and apparatus of the present invention, a critical quantization parameter of a target video is determined, and the actual quantization parameter is compared with the critical quantization parameter, which can accurately determine whether subjective quality of the target video changes strictly monotonically relative to the used actual quantization parameter, so that the video quality can be assessed accurately.

In a method for evaluating media quality, media reference quality and rebuffering event distortion quality are obtained, final media quality are determined according to the obtained media reference quality and rebuffering event distortion quality, where a parameter of the rebuffering event distortion quality includes at least one of the following: the number of rebuffering events, a duration of the rebuffering event, a multiple rebuffering event interaction impact parameter, initial media quality, and a factor describing media content complexity. When media quality is calculated, impact of the multiple rebuffering event interaction impact parameter, the initial media quality, and the factor describing media content complexity on the media quality is considered, thereby making a media quality evaluation result more accurate.

The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for evaluating multimedia quality. The method includes: obtaining reference quality of a video and final quality of the video of a multimedia sequence, and reference quality of an audio and final quality of the audio of the multimedia sequence; determining reference quality of the multimedia sequence; determining a distortion value of the multimedia sequence according to the reference quality of the video, the final quality of the video, the reference quality of the audio, and the final quality of the audio; and determining multimedia quality of the multimedia sequence according to the reference quality of the multimedia sequence and the distortion value of the multimedia sequence. The method and apparatus for evaluating multimedia quality can directly reflect distortion of a multimedia sequence, accord with a subjective feeling of a person, and therefore can accurately and effectively evaluate the multimedia quality.
