    Abstract: Method and apparatus for transporting client signals in an OTN are illustrated. In one embodiment, the method includes: mapping a client signal into a first Optical Channel Data Tributary Unit (ODTU) frame including an ODTU payload area and an ODTU overhead area, such that a plurality of n-bit data units of the client signal are inserted into the ODTU payload area and number information is inserted into the ODTU overhead area; mapping the first ODTU frame into the OPUk frame, such that the plurality of n-bit data units are mapped into an OPUk payload part occupying at least one Tributary Slot (TS) of the OPUk payload area and the number information of the ODTU overhead area is mapped into a first OPUk overhead part of the OPUk frame; forming an Optical Channel Transport Unit-k (OTUk) frame including the OPUk frame for transmission.

    Abstract: A data transmission method in an optical transport network includes: mapping first-type service data to a payload block at a specific location in a plurality of consecutive payload blocks, where the plurality of consecutive payload blocks occupy a payload area of an optical data unit (ODU) frame; mapping second-type service data to a payload block at any location in the plurality of consecutive payload blocks other than the at least one specific location; mapping the ODU frame to an optical transport unit (OTU) frame or a flexible OTN (FlexO) frame; and sending the OTU frame or the FlexO frame. In an applicable scenario, service data is transmitted in a hybrid manner.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a signal processing method, a network apparatus, and a system. The method includes: mapping a received first client signal into a first ODUflex; mapping the first ODUflex into an optical channel data tributary unit (ODTUCn.X) including X tributary slots, where X is a non-integer; and multiplexing the ODTUCn.X into an optical channel payload unit (OPUCn). According to the signal processing method provided in the embodiments of the present invention, carrying efficiency can be improved when a fine-grained service is transmitted, and complexity is relatively low.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a client signal in an optical transport network. In the transmission method, a received client signal is mapped into a variable-rate container OTU-N, wherein a rate of the OTU-N is N times as high as a preset reference rate; and then, the variable-rate container OTU-N is split into N optical sub-channel transport units OTUsubs by column, where a rate of each OTUsub equals to the reference rate; next, the N optical sub-channel transport units OTUsubs are modulated onto one or more optical carriers; at last, the one or more optical carriers is transmitted through a fiber.

    Abstract: A data transmission method, a transmitter, and a receiver, where the method includes obtaining constant bit rate (CBR) service data, performing physical coding sublayer (PCS) encoding on the CBR service data, inserting a rate adaptation code block in a PCS bitstream obtained by PCS encoding to perform rate adaptation on the PCS bitstream, mapping the adapted PCS bitstream to N timeslots of a flexible Ethernet (FlexE) frame, where N is a positive integer greater than or equal to one, and sending the FlexE frame, where FlexE overhead of the FlexE frame includes information indicating the N timeslots corresponding to the PCS bitstream. Hence, according to the data transmission method, the transmitter, and the receiver, the CBR service data may be mapped to a FlexE, and a carrying capability of the FlexE is improved.

    Abstract: A method for transmitting a data stream in a flexible Ethernet, where the method includes obtaining a to-be-transmitted data stream, allocating the data stream to N physical connections according to a sequence of the N physical connections in a physical connection group in order to obtain N sub-streams respectively corresponding to the N physical connections, and transmitting the N sub-streams using the N physical connections, where a sub-stream transmitted over each physical connection includes configuration status information of each physical connection, and the configuration status information includes an identifier of each physical connection and an identifier of a physical connection adjacent to each physical connection in the physical connection group. The method reduces, in a data stream transmission process, overheads required for identifying a sequence of all the physical connections in the physical connection group and improves transmission efficiency.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method, which including: determining, by a first node, an adjustment requirement for a line interface rate; and according to the adjustment requirement for the line interface rate, adjusting, by the first node, a transport bandwidth of an optical channel (OCh) link, adjusting the number of optical channel transport lanes (OTLs) in an optical channel transport unit (OTUCn) link, and adjusting the number of optical channel data lanes (ODLs) in an optical channel data unit (ODUCn) link, where the OTL is in one-to-one correspondence with the ODL. In embodiments of the present invention, according to an adjustment requirement for a line interface rate, a transport bandwidth of an OCh link is adjusted, the number of OTLs in an OTUCn link is adjusted, and the number of ODLs in an ODUCn link is adjusted, so that the line interface rate can be dynamically adjusted.
