Abstract: This application provides an information obtaining method that includes: A mobile relay device moves to a permitted area in which the mobile relay device is allowed to use a relay function, where the permitted area is a cell covered by a donor base station. The mobile relay device obtains, in the permitted area, a physical cell identifier PCI of a relay cell via which the relay function is provided for a terminal device, where the relay cell is a cell accessed by the terminal device. In this way, the mobile relay device can obtain the PCI, and provide a relay service for the terminal device served by the mobile relay device.

Abstract: Example network edge computing methods and communication apparatus are described. One example method includes determining a first computing capability of a first MEC function by a first network device, where the computing capability of the first MEC function indicates a capability of the first MEC function to provide a computing service. The first network device sends first capability information, where the first capability information includes a capability parameter for determining the first computing capability, and the capability parameter includes one or more of a supported computing service type, a hardware parameter, or computing load. The first network device receives a first task request message from a first terminal, where the first task request message requests the first MEC function to execute at least one computing task of the first terminal.

Abstract: An embodiment of this application provides a communication method. The method includes: A second central unit control plane (CU-CP) receives context information from a first CU-CP, where the context information includes a context of a distributed unit (DU) and a context of a first central unit user plane (CU-UP). The context information is used by the second CU-CP to communicate with the DU and the first CU-UP. The second CU-CP receives a first message, and communicates with the DU and the first CU-UP based on the first message through a communication interface. According to the communication method provided in this application, a backup CU-CP can be provided for the first CU-CP, to reduce service interruption and improve system robustness.

Abstract: A communication method and a related device include in response to a first node determining that an RLF occurs on a radio link between the first node and a second node, and there is no other available path between the first node and a destination node, the first node sends first indication information to a third node. The first indication information indicates the RLF or indicates that a link recovery attempt is being made. The second node is a parent node of the first node, and the third node is a child node of the first node; or the second node is a child node of the first node, and the third node is a parent node of the first node, or a donor node connected to the first node.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure provide a communication method, and an associated communication apparatus, medium, and chip. In a communication method, a target access network device receives first information, where the first information indicates a relationship between a first network slice in a first network and a second network slice in a second network, and the first network is different from the second network. The target access network device performs access control from a terminal device to the target access network device based on at least the first information. In this manner, in embodiments of this disclosure, the target access network device can perform access control on the terminal device during cross-network access, to reduce an access latency, reduce a service interruption problem caused by session rejection of the terminal device, and ensure service continuity of the terminal device.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium are provided. A first access network device sends, to a first relay device, first indication information indicating whether access of a mobile relay device is allowed. When the first relay device is a mobile relay device, the first relay device sends an access request to a second access network device that allows access of a mobile relay device, so that a mobile relay device initiates an access request to an access network device that allows access of a mobile relay device, ensuring normal access of the mobile relay device.

Abstract: An inter-distributed-unit (distributed unit, DU) communication method and a related apparatus are provided. The method includes: A first DU receives data of a terminal from a central unit (central unit, CU). The first DU processes the data by using a media access control (media access control, MAC) entity scheduling function specific to the terminal, to obtain a physical layer transmission data stream. The first DU sends the physical layer transmission data stream to a second DU. In the method provided in this application, because a MAC entity of the first DU is used to uniformly schedule the physical layer transmission data stream, the first DU and the second DU do not need to exchange a large amount of layer 2 (layer 2, L2) parameter information, so that information transmission overheads can be reduced.
