Abstract: An object of the present invention is to suppress time and effort into generating a calibration curve while ensuring accuracy of the calibration curve in an analysis step of generating the calibration curve by using two or more standard solutions (two or more concentrations). A calibration curve generation method according to the present invention includes acquiring time course data by irradiating a mixed reaction liquid obtained by mixing one standard solution containing a component to be measured having a concentration other than a zero concentration and a reagent reacting with the component to be measured with light and measuring a turbidity change over time of the mixed reaction liquid, extracting pieces of light amount data in a plurality of different times from a fitting line obtained by complementing discrete portions of the time course data, and generating the calibration curve indicating a relationship between the plurality of pieces of light amount data and a plurality of concentrations by converting the plurality of different times into the plurality of concentrations of the component to be measured (FIG. 1).

Abstract: A chemical dispensing mechanism detects the liquid surface of a chemical including a chemical container mounted on a chemical disk. A calculation control unit controls the operation of the chemical dispensing mechanism. The calculation control unit performs a first raising operation, in which a chemical stored in the chemical container is suctioned by the chemical dispensing mechanism, which is then raised up to a first bubble detection position, determines whether a liquid surface is present, and outputs an alert indicating the presence of a bubble on the liquid surface when the liquid surface has been determined to be absent. The first bubble detection position is when the tip of a dispensing nozzle of the chemical dispensing mechanism remains inside the liquid when there are no bubbles present on the liquid surface, and is exposed from the inside of the liquid when there are bubbles present on the liquid surface.

Abstract: It is necessary to efficiently agitate a small amount of sample (such as blood) and reagent (such as diluted solution) in a short time with a dispensing probe having a constant tube inner diameter. An automatic analysis device, by a dispensing probe, executes an aspiration step of aspirating a reagent from a reagent vessel; a first dispensing and aspiration step of dispensing a first liquid amount of the aspirated reagent to a reaction vessel and aspirating, from the reaction vessel, a second liquid amount of a mixed liquid obtained by mixing the reagent and the sample in the reaction vessel; and a final dispensing step of dispensing the aspirated mixed liquid and the reagent in a predetermined dispensing amount. A first liquid amount Va is less than a predetermined dispensing amount Vdil.

Abstract: Provided is an automatic analyzer and a control method thereof that are capable of preventing liquid leakage when a dispensing probe that aspirated air and a liquid in order rises. The automatic analyzer for analyzing a sample includes: a dispensing unit configured to dispense the sample and/or a reagent; and a control unit configured to control the dispensing unit. When a dispensing probe provided in the dispensing unit rises after aspirating air and a liquid in order, the control unit aspirates an amount of outside air corresponding to a length of expansion of the air through a tip of the dispensing probe.
