Abstract:
A home appliance includes a controlled assembly, a control module, and a signal converter. The control module is electrically connected to the controlled assembly, and the control module has a port for receiving an electrical signal. The control module controls the controlled assembly according to the electrical signal received through the port. The signal converter receives a wireless control signal, and converts the wireless control signal into the electrical signal to be transmitted to the port. The signal converter is selected from a plurality of signal converters which respectively convert signals of different types. While assembling, the signal converter is connected to the port, which makes the control module and the connected signal converter constitute a control device of the home appliance. Whereby, the inventory pressure of control devices can be reduced for manufacturers.
Abstract:
A method of managing energy consumption which is applied to a wireless control system is provided, wherein the wireless control system includes a plurality of appliances and a relay device. The method includes the steps below: first, obtain an amount of energy consumption from a start time point to a predetermined time point in an energy monitoring period; next, compare the amount of energy consumption with a second threshold during the energy monitoring period, which is lower than a first threshold; finally, if the amount of energy consumption exceeds the second threshold, determine whether to start an energy conservation mode; if the energy conservation mode starts, the relay device sends an energy conservation command to at least one of the appliances to control said appliance to consume less energy. Whereby, in the energy conservation mode, the energy consumed by the appliances would be reduced without stopping the energy supply.
Abstract:
A method of providing operating options of an electric appliance is applied in a wireless system, which includes a portable device, an electric appliance, and a relay apparatus. The portable device and the relay apparatus are connected to each other within either a near-end network or a far-end network. The electric appliance communicates with the relay apparatus, and has a plurality of operating options which can be selected to operate the electric appliance. If the portable device and the relay apparatus are connected within the near-end network, all of the operating options are displayed on the portable device for selection; if it's within the far-end network, a part of the operating options are disabled on the portable device for selection.
Abstract:
A Wi-Fi/radio frequency (RF) converting device includes a Wi-Fi transceiver, a multiplexing converting module, an RF transceiver, and an RF extension device. The Wi-Fi transceiver receives a Wi-Fi control signal from a control signal generator, wherein the Wi-Fi control signal contains at least one command. The multiplexing converting module receives the Wi-Fi control signal from the Wi-Fi transceiver, and converts the Wi-Fi control signal into a first wireless control signal or a second wireless control signal. The RF transceiver is electrically connected to the multiplexing converting module, and is connected to at least one electric appliance through RF signals. The RF transceiver receives the first wireless control signal from the multiplexing converting module, and transmits the RF control signal to the electric appliance. The RF extension device transmits the second wireless control signal, which corresponds to at least one another electric appliance, to the at least one another electric appliance.

A Wi-Fi/radio frequency (RF) converting device includes a Wi-Fi transceiver, a multiplexing converting module, and a RF transceiver. The Wi-Fi transceiver receives a Wi-Fi control signal from a control signal generator. The multiplexing converting module receives the Wi-Fi control signal from the Wi-Fi transceiver and converts the Wi-Fi control signal into a RF control signal. The RF transceiver receives the RF control signal from the multiplexing converting module and sends the RF control signal to a plurality of electric elements. An RF extension device may be provided to share the signal transmission between the electric elements and the Wi-Fi/RF converting device.
Abstract:
A method of obtaining data of a home appliance, which includes the following steps: Sense the home appliance to obtain running data, and transmit the running data to an interpreter; save the running data in a memory of the interpreter as a plurality of history logs; connect a specific electronic device to the interpreter via a network; send a retrieval command to the interpreter; transmit at least one history log to the electronic device according to the retrieval command. With such design, repairmen can only obtain the history logs which are helpful for repairing and maintenance under authentication.
