    摘要： A rotary vulcanizing machine, particularly designed for the production of textile, letter-press and screen-print blankets. The compression belt, a glass cord reinforced rubber blanket, operates over small diameter (12 inches) rolls, and is tensioned by the thrust of hydraulic cylinders. The heated curing roll can be withdrawn from the machine and slid onto a wheeled carriage to move out of the way while a blanket to be cured is being dressed on the machine. The high strength of the compacting belt and its flexiblity while producing the same amount of compacting pressure eliminates the necessity of large diameter curing rolls for stainless steel belts saving cost, size, weight and floor space.

A yarn guide attached to the foot lays the reinforcing strands directly in the screw threads.

    摘要： Volume-compressible products such as printing, coating, and impression rolls are made by enclosing a porous volumecompressible layer formed on a rigid core with an impermeable layer of heat-flowable resilient polymeric material. The assembly is wrapped with a nonshrinking tape, or may be placed in a mold. Vents plugged with a substance having a predetermined melting point are inserted in the porous layer, and lead to the atmosphere. Pressure to cause the polymeric coating layer to flow and consolidate is developed by heating the assembly. Cure, if necessary, is effected by elevating the temperature. At the higher temperature, the plugs melt and open the vent passages, thus avoiding collapse and wrinkling when the product cools.
