摘要: Systems and techniques are provided for learning deep learning compute paths. An example method can determine a neural network element of a first compute path within a neural network, the first compute path comprising neural network elements including the neural network element, the neural network element comprising a neural network layer and/or a neural network node; determine a second compute path comprising the neural network element and different neural network elements, the second compute path having a smaller size than the first compute path, a lower latency than the first compute path, and/or a smaller compute cost than the second compute path; determine, based on one or more conditions, whether to process data from the neural network element through the first compute path or the second compute path; and process the data from the neural network element through one of the first compute path or the second compute path.

For example, a method implemented by a vehicle may include receiving, from one or more sensors of a first sensing modality at the vehicle, first sensor data associated with a surrounding environment of the vehicle; and retrofitting a vehicle controller of the vehicle that is based on a second sensing modality different from the first sensing modality to operate on the first sensor data, where the retrofitting includes generating second sensor data from the first sensor data based on the second sensing modality; and determining, by the vehicle controller, an action for the vehicle based at least in part on the generated second sensor data.

摘要: A model for controlling an AV can be trained with a privacy budget. A data set that includes sensor data collected by an AV from an environment around the AV is received. A privacy score of the data set is determined. The privacy score indicates a measurement of privacy information included in the data set. The privacy score may be compared with the privacy budget to determine whether the data set meets the privacy budget. After a determination that the data set does not meet the privacy budget, the data set is adjusted, e.g., by adjusting one or more objects captured by the sensor data. An example adjustment to an object may include removing or modifying a private feature of the object. The adjust data set has a privacy score that falls in the privacy budget and can be used as a privacy-protected data set to train the model.

摘要: Machine learning model optimization systems and methods are disclosed. A system receives sensor data captured by one or more sensors of a vehicle during a first time period. The vehicle uses a first trained machine learning (ML) model for one or more decisions of a first decision type during the first time period. The system generates a second trained ML model at least in part by using the sensor data to train the second trained ML model. The system identifies an optimal trained ML model from a plurality of trained ML models. The plurality of trained ML models includes the first trained ML model and the second trained ML model. The system causes the vehicle to use the optimal trained ML model for one or more further decisions of the first decision type during a second time period after the first time period.

摘要: The present technology is directed to dynamically adjusting an autonomous vehicle (AV) system based on deep learning optimizations. An AV management system can generate a downscaling signal based on a result of comparing a complexity of an environment for an AV to navigate with a predetermined complexity threshold. Further, the AV management system can perform a downscaling of a neural network associated with an AV system based on the downscaling signal and determine a scenario to test the downscaled neural network in a simulation. The AV management system can adjust one or more parameters of the AV system based on simulated outputs and perform the simulation of the AV based on the adjusted one or more parameters of the AV system and the downscaled neural network to generate simulated performance data. Furthermore, the AV management system can compare the simulated performance data with a predetermined performance threshold.
