Disclosed is a cellulose acylate film containing a compound having at least one connecting group selected from a group consisting of a bivalent connecting group denoted by —NH—(C═O)—O— and a bivalent connecting group denoted by —NH—(C═O)—NR— in which R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, and at least one polar group which is a residue of a compound having a C log P value of less than or equal to 0.85 (however, an aromatic hetero ring-containing group which is a residue of a compound having a C log P value of less than or equal to 0.85 is excluded from the polar group), in which an equivalent weight U obtained as a value which is obtained by dividing a molecular weight by the number of connecting groups included in one molecule is less than or equal to 515.

A cellulose acylate film, which includes a compound denoted by general formula (I) below, the equivalent U of which, calculated as a value obtained by dividing the molecular weight of the compound by the number of divalent linking groups denoted by —O—C(═O)—NH— contained per molecule, is less than or equal to 515, wherein, in general formula (I), each of L11 and L21 independently denotes an optionally substituted alkylene group; each of L12 and L22 independently denotes a single bond, any one of or any combination of —O—, —NR1—, —S— and —C(═O)—; R1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a substituent; each of n1 and n2 independently denotes an integer of 0 to 20, with at least either n1 or n2 being an integer of greater than or equal to 1. The cellulose acylate film includes a compound denoted by formula 1 below: wherein, in formula 1, Het denotes an optionally substituted aromatic hetero ring; X1 denotes a single bond or a group selected from the group consisting of —O—, —NR2—, —CR3R4—, —S—, and —CO—; each of R2, R3, and R4 independently denotes a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R1 denotes a partial structure of valence n, with n denoting an integer greater than or equal to 1; wherein the compound includes at least one group selected from the group consisting of —NH— and —CO— per molecule, and at least one group selected from the group consisting of —X2—(C═X4)—X3—, —NR5—(SO2)—, —CO—NR6—CO—, —O—, —S—, —COOH, —CN, —NR7R8, —OH, and —SH per molecule.
