Abstract: A transparent film includes: a base material; and at least one scratch resistant layer of which indentation hardness is 300 MPa or greater and of which a thickness is 50 to 1,000 nm on an outermost surface of the transparent film at one side or both sides of the base material, and a number of times of folding endurance of the transparent film measured by an MIT testing machine according to JIS P8115 (2001) is 1,000 times or greater.

Abstract: An optical film has a base material and a hardcoat layer, in which a pencil hardness is 2H or higher, the number of times of folding endurance measured by an MIT tester is 1000 or more, an incident ray is made incident on the optical film from −60° with respect to a normal direction of the optical film, an angle width within which 10% of outgoing ray peak intensity is obtained is 6° or less, and an intensity of outgoing ray at 50° from the normal direction is 1% or less of the outgoing ray peak intensity. A method for manufacturing an optical film has a step of applying a hardcoat layer forming composition to a base material to provide a coating film, and a step of curing the coating film while bringing the coating film into contact with one smooth metal roll.

Abstract: An antireflection film includes: a substrate; and an antireflection layer formed with a composition containing metal oxide particles having surface hydroxyl groups as particles for forming a moth eye structure, and two compounds having (meth)acryloyl groups, where the antireflection layer contains a binder resin including at least one of a structure derived from the two (meth)acryloyl groups, and the moth eye structure has an irregular shape formed with the metal oxide particles on a surface on a side opposite to an interface on the substrate side, and in the irregular shape of the antireflection layer, B/A is a ratio between a distance A between peaks of adjacent convex portions and a distance B between a center between peaks of the adjacent convex portions and a concave portion is 0.5 or greater.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing an antireflection film, including the successive steps of: applying a composition including a curable compound (a1), a plurality of particles (a2), and a solvent on a substrate, and volatilizing the solvent to provide a layer (a), the layer (a) having a portion in which the particles (a2) do not exist, and the portion having a thickness being 0.8 times the average primary particle diameter of the particles (a2) or greater; curing a portion of the curable compound (a1); causing a portion of the curable compound (a1) to permeate the substrate or to be volatilized so as to form an uneven shape; and curing the curable compound (a1) remained in the layer (a).
